Gentle on clothes
I did a lot of research before choosing this model. With multiple settings, functions and cycle options and easy-to-operate controls, this washing machine has been a joy to use. After decades of washing for a very large family, we downsized to 8kg and it’s plenty big and capable enough, and still suitable for bulky bedding, grotty work-clothes. Is straight-forward for visitors to use. Whether I need things to be quick or deeply soaked and washed, everything I’ve put in, washes and spins thoroughly, yet gently. It’s quiet, looks smart, has simple controls panel and I am extremely pleased with its performance.

Easy to use, great features!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After having used a top loader forever, I decided to switch to the front loader.....well to say I am happy with my choice is an understatement. My fear of using one was quickly dismissed because of how easy it was to not only set up but also to use. There are also so many different choices of programs that definitely suit my needs. The way that it spins the clothes is truly amazing, something that even my hubby stood and watched. I would highly recommend this washer to anyone who was in the market for a new washing machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After losing two homes on the family farm during the 2019/20 bushfires, I started purchasing appliances for the new home (rebuild on the family farm ). It’s taken three and a half years but I am now in the new home. Last week I used the washing machine for the first time. FANTASTIC, as I use a standalone solar power system and rely on water collected from the shed and house roofs it is imperative to have a washing machine that is efficient for both power and water consumption.
This I have found in this washing machine.

Easy to use
My previous (very expensive) washing machine broke and was not worth repairing as it would have cost the same amount again. The repair guy suggested I buy a new one, the same make as before but I chose not to. Instead I chose the Westinghouse EasyCare 500 and love it. I was told at the time of purchase it would use more water than my previous machine but I have found that is incorrect as I often use the 39 minute wash and the previous machine had a minimum standard wash of 1 hour 20 minutes! I am very happy with this machine and not regretted the purchase at all.

I recently replaced my old top loader and purchased a front loader due to them being much more economical to use, saves in water and drying time. On the very first use of this machine noticed the soap dispenser jams easily and there is a lot of play in the dial so you don't actually know what wash cycle its pointing to. The touch buttons are not sensitive and requires several pushes before it recognizes your touch. The wash was ok but the spin is dreadful, the towels were all very heavy and almost dripping when the cycle was finished. The spin in no way compares to that of my old top loader. What you save in water you loose significantly in drying time. I am very disappointed with this purchase and would not recommend this machine.

After 9 years my Samsung front load washing machine died. I stood in the shop deciding between another Samsung or a Westinghouse. I have a Westinghouse fridge, dishwasher and freestanding oven, cook top, all of which I have been extremely happy with. On that basis I went with the Westinghouse,WWF8024M5WA. Wow what a disappointment. It doesn't wash anywhere near as good as my old Samsung. The 1200 spin is equivalent to an 800 spin on my Samsung and therefor the drying time takes so long, as the clothes so wet. My towels are so stiff because I am unable to add an extra rinse to the program, which you can do on a Samsung. I would have thought that a new Washing Machine would have been at least as good as one that was 9years old, if not better. Unfortunately not so

This Washing Machine does what it says however probably my fault for buying online and not going in store to research, but I was desperate for a new one as my old one had died, and Westinghouse has a great name. My only complaint is that it's very low to the ground and really requires one of those special stands which is not mentioned anywhere when purchasing online. These stands are quite expensive and if I'd known I would have bought something cheaper to include the stand or look for one higher off the floor.

More fussy than anything else I ever used
This washing machine has been a pain to use, as it struggles to work way too often. I understand that it's likely my fault for not loading it as intended. However, I load this washing machine the same way I used to load every other front loader of similar size, but this one is seemingly always overloaded. It always takes longer than marked, oftentimes it doesn't drain properly, several times it wouldn't even finish. I would empty it and put back half of the load on drain and spin cycle, and it still can't finish.
Running two cycles for one set of bed sheets is something I never had to do in the past. The issues I have with this machine are too regular and I am always anxious about whether or not it'll finish the cycle. I am worried to leave it running if I have to go outside.
