[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been quite underwhelmed by our experience in purchasing our FnP Ceramic cooktop.
It was installed by a less than enthusiastic tradesman .....who came.....took the old one out.....put the new one in place..... and (I quote) said “ DON’T ASK ME FOR ANY INSTRUCTIONS “ and left
We persevered and worked out how to operate .....however were quite taken aback when it“appeared” that the elements were faulty and discolouring So much so that I called F n P who sent a rep to check it out He told us that we should have purchased a proprietary surface protective coating of some sort and applied it before we used it

Very much enjoying my ceramic cook top from Fisher and Paykel, though I am still trying to work out the double elements 🤷♀️. I’m sure a read of the manual will help.
If I could change one thing. it would be to have a large element on the front, not the back where it slashes on the slash back. I’m wondering why the stove top was made this way, as I’ve not struck it before, I’m guessing there is a reason, though it is annoying, but not a first world problem.

The overall appearance of this new one is more pleasing and modern and cleans easily. It is easy to operate with immediate response and regulation of heat is great. Great cooktop
No issues. Heats up fast. Easy to keep clean. Looks streamlined and minimal. Have had F&P induction cooktops before and after multiple issues with one of the induction cooktops we decided to give induction a miss. The slower difference in heat up time for electric as compared to induction is noticeable, but hoping electric will avoid the problems we've had in the past with induction.

It's so easy to use and it's so easy to keep clean
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my ceramic cooktop. It's heat distribution is fabulous. My husband cooks the best yellow fish curry on this appliance. I didn't have to buy new pots & pans and the temperature controls are spot on and it blends into my granite benchtops beautifully.
I am looking forward to buying another one for my next house.

F&P Electric Cooktop 60cm, 4 burner
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a replacement for a similar F&P model bought around 13 years ago and was going well until it was blown by an electrical issue covering the whole street. So I am comparing the two. The later model does not have the nice smooth metal edge my original one had. Although I use the correct SS cookware and the correct sizes, any cooking seems to leave a marks or rings which have to be cleaned off constantly with cooktop cleaner. The touch controls work well but are almost impossible to see until they are lit. The cooktop cooks efficiently but I prefer the original for surface quality and easier to read touch controls. I think a neat metal edge is far more attractive and easier to clean around the edges than the current model which sticks up from the bench top a little and causes a dirt trap. So I would give it a 9 1/2 for function and a 4 for design and quality.

New cooktop
Very easy controls , heats and cools quickly on demand . The one disappointing design fault is the two big elements being at the back of the cooktop . Preserving pans do not fit well , also when using frying pans it is safer that you are not reaching over other simmering pots .
