Not bad, but...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 4ish months in and as far as the TV's functionaliy, features and screen goes it really is a great unit; but...
Before the latest update, every couple of weeks the screen starts acting out and displaying these very apparent lines that make whatever you're watching contort into an unwatchable maelstrom of awfulness that couldnt be fixed unless you unplugged the tv from the wall and wait 5 minutes for it to reboot to then work properly again; seemed to be a software issue that they have so far seemed to have solved. Ever since that patch the tv has worked exceptionally well thankfully 🙂
Would recommend a new Bravia to anyone willing to upgrade!

Excellent TV

I found the audio to be of a very high quality, particularly as there design of the TV limits the size of the speakers. My only concern is that I had to relearn how to use the remote controller as there are fewer buttons compare to my previous TV.

Great TV
Great TV, Great software. Had previous experience with Google TV and this was a big part of my decision to buy. Same, familiar software but runs faster and smoother than Chromecast with Google TV.
The colours and brightness are perfect for where we have installed it. Haven't tried to use it with broadcast TV but the streaming is smooth and reliable.
Only thing that isn't great for us is that you can only pair one remote control to the TV. With Chromecast you can pair multiple remotes which is extremely convenient.

We recently upgraded from an 8 year old Sony which was cutting edge at the time but OMG since putting this up on the wall the difference in picture quality, sound and UI is night and day. Always bought Sony’s as they never disappoint. It’s prettty expensive for a 65” panel but the quality justifies the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We purchased the TV to avail of a discounted deal to replace ten year old Sony Bravias.With the Google TV and Wifi connection, there are lots of options to choose from to watch, eg, Netflix, etc.
Picture is good and screen is really big, a welcome upgrade from our small (45") and non-smart TV. Brightness might not be as good as other brands, like Samsung and LG, but suits us ok.
Only issue is the battery on the remote control is not replaceable irdinary batteries.

Great TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this Bravia 8 Oled tv since July 2024 and so far are very pleased with the performance. The picture is brilliant in all light conditions and sound is good enough for us not to require a sound bar. Numerous features, we are still learning about some of them still. Visually a stunning piece, super thin and minimal edge that doesn’t impact on screen appearance. Mounted on wall with cables concealed, couldn’t be happier.

I bought this Sony Bravia 8 a month ago replacing a 13 year old Sony 46 inch which still works.
Had to go Sony again. This 65 inch is excellent.
The picture quality is amazing. Went with the standard setup recommendations and the clarity is great.
Got the Sony HT-A3000 sound bar which was easy to install. Sound is excellent. Numbers on the TV remote would make channel change quicker but does have voice channel change. So far I am super happy with purchase.
