The masterpiece that exceeds all expectationsHaving upgraded from the LG 65” OLED G3 the look and physical dimensions are exactly the same including the wall mount bracket I thought that there would be only a slight improvement boy was I wrong. From the ease of installation, a simple 5 min clip off the old and install the new a complementary free install offered by LG as part of the package the new alpha 11 processor makes quite a noticeable difference in the display processing in the standard tv mode and amazing in gaming mode on both the PlayStation and Xbox. Even during the peak of the day with the sun flooding the room the tv in full brightness mode the quality and brightness is outstanding.

LG OLED 65 G4[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LG G4 OLED TV is an excellent choice. It truly stands out, and there’s very little to fault. Coming from another OLED TV, I wasn’t expecting much, but the blacks, colors, and brightness from the second-generation MLA panels are genuinely impressive. The picture quality from 4K Dolby Vision/HDR content really shines. Also as a gamer, this TV offers all the essential features, while still looking amazing.

All the hits, none of the misses of the industryThe saturated colors are amazing and the way the blacks in a film disappear into the letterbox is something to behold. I also appreciate that all 4 HDMI ports are 2.1 to allow for flexibility with the latest consoles and newer devices to come. The included wall mount is a bonus, even as a carry over from last years model. All that said, I have to commend the picture options and the availability of minute motion options that allow for me to tweak them to reduce jutter while avoiding the soap opera effect, to include maintaining color accuracy of film maker mode. The ability to make these changes independent of one another is second to none.

My Perfect TV[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3rd LG OLED and somehow they still keep getting better. I'm so glad to have a 77" as it's the perfect size for my wall. The brightness is truly next level! It's the perfect HDR experience with perfect blacks and so bright you'd think with was mini-LED. It also seems like this TV was built from the ground up with gaming in mind like a 77" gaming monitor. I've got my PC connected and I can't imagine there's a TV with better features at 4k 144 hz, Dolby Vision PC, G-Sync Compatible, the lowest input latency you could imagine, and picture quality that could arguably be described as perfect.

Wonderful picture, good sound and great service[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had the TV for a month or so now and I love it.....
The picture is simply amazing - by far the best I have ever seen.
The sound is very good without being excellent - a sound bar will be my next purchase.
I have attached a hard drive to the TV so I can now pause live TV. Wonderful for when you need to leave the TV for a while.
My only two suggestions would be:
1. Put the pause, fast forward, reverse and stop buttons on the remote - having to go through the menu is a pain.
2. Build a hard drive into the TV or at least sell a hard drive as an accessory.
All in all, one fantastic TV.

I love the AI feature and LG has done a fantastic job! Picture and sound quality are great! I have tried other competitive top branded televisions and by far this tv is the best! Some respected elder relatives and friends of my family love the additional features since they require special support and thanks to LG for this G4 Evo to make television viewing an amazing experience for them. I would give a six stars out of five - one bonus for the AI features.

Outstanding TV, exceeded expectations[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Hi, my expectations have been exceeded with the purchase of this TV.
I have never had an OLED TV before and have been very impressed by the picture quality, particularly the brightness and the frame rate for gaming.
The sound quality is very serviceable with the cricket sound mode very good when watching live sports to capture the full immersive experience of the crowd.
The only minor downside for me is the remote, I personally think there is a little bit too much going on but I suspect that is more of a personal preference.

Does the LG firmware/software combo disable the USB ports like on the older OLED C1 units? You could temporarily get around the extremely slow WiFi and Ethernet by connecting a USB/RJ45 gig adapter but had to constantly reset the connection.

Hey there! Let's talk about OLEDs – they're amazing! Unlike LCDs, OLEDs work independently at the pixel level, which means they can produce super deep blacks and a much thinner and brighter display. LG even took it a step further by placing the OLED panel on a silicon wafer substrate instead of a regular glass or plastic backplane. This has allowed them to create an even higher pixel density using cutting-edge chip-making processes, making it possible to etch transistors down to nanometer levels over a silicon wafer. Hi there. The auto-dimming feature on LG OLEDs is called ABL (Auto Brightness Limiter) and it is how an OLED operates & cannot be turned off.
OLED panels all have an inherent limitation with the panel itself. The power consumption of these panels is highly dependent upon the content displayed. With a pure white image, every pixel must be lit, while with a pure black image, every pixel is off. As the display has a maximum power usage, this opens up the capability for OLED displays to allocate more power per pixel to create a higher maximum luminance when not displaying a full-white image.
On the OLED screen, the percentage of the display that is lit up compared with a full-white display is known as the Average Picture level (APL).
On OLED panels with a low APL (like a small 1% or 5% window size of white) the maximum peak brightness is usually achieved. This peak brightness then reduces normally as the window size increases, as this is where the Auto Brightness Limiter (ABL) feature comes in. If you try and display a bright area over a certain window size you will find that the screen is dimmer than if that window size was smaller.
There will be a maximum brightness that the screen can reach and sustain for a pure white image (100% APL), but then if you reduce that APL, you’re able to reallocate power to only the brighter areas and therefore drive up the peak brightness in those situations. The point at which this ABL feature kicks in based on the size of the APL will vary on different panels.

Has anyone actually tested the WiFi and/or the Ethernet boards? The specs say WiFi 6E however the old OLED C1 TVs were listed as 802.11 AC (WiFI 5) BUT we never got more than 1 - 9 Mbps on a hardline Ethernet running at 320 - 380 Mbps.

With reports/complaints of the HDMI 2 port (eARC) scrambling the video piling up all over the web. Does LG know of this issue and are they investigating it? I have the same issue with my recent purchase of an 83inch G4.
