The masterpiece that exceeds all expectations
Having upgraded from the LG 65” OLED G3 the look and physical dimensions are exactly the same including the wall mount bracket I thought that there would be only a slight improvement boy was I wrong. From the ease of installation, a simple 5 min clip off the old and install the new a complementary free install offered by LG as part of the package the new alpha 11 processor makes quite a noticeable difference in the display processing in the standard tv mode and amazing in gaming mode on both the PlayStation and Xbox. Even during the peak of the day with the sun flooding the room the tv in full brightness mode the quality and brightness is outstanding.

All the hits, none of the misses of the industry
The saturated colors are amazing and the way the blacks in a film disappear into the letterbox is something to behold. I also appreciate that all 4 HDMI ports are 2.1 to allow for flexibility with the latest consoles and newer devices to come. The included wall mount is a bonus, even as a carry over from last years model. All that said, I have to commend the picture options and the availability of minute motion options that allow for me to tweak them to reduce jutter while avoiding the soap opera effect, to include maintaining color accuracy of film maker mode. The ability to make these changes independent of one another is second to none.

My Perfect TV
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My 3rd LG OLED and somehow they still keep getting better. I'm so glad to have a 77" as it's the perfect size for my wall. The brightness is truly next level! It's the perfect HDR experience with perfect blacks and so bright you'd think with was mini-LED. It also seems like this TV was built from the ground up with gaming in mind like a 77" gaming monitor. I've got my PC connected and I can't imagine there's a TV with better features at 4k 144 hz, Dolby Vision PC, G-Sync Compatible, the lowest input latency you could imagine, and picture quality that could arguably be described as perfect.

Coming from another OLED TV, I wasn’t expecting much, but the blacks, colors, and brightness from the second-generation MLA panels are genuinely impressive. The picture quality from 4K Dolby Vision/HDR content really shines. Also as a gamer, this TV offers all the essential features, while still looking amazing.

Impressive Picture Quality & Immersive Experience

Infuriating to use in a Home Theater
Picture Quality of this TV is outstanding. User interface is lackluster and quite cluttered requiring you to dig through settings to turn things off. HDMI-CEC implementation is horrendous to the point that I am not able to route devices through my home theater receiver. To get audio from TV apps requires HDMI ARC which forces CEC on. If you disable CEC, it changes audio to TV speakers and disables ARC. Because CEC comes on at will, it tries to take control of other devices attached to the receiver. After almost a full day of troubleshooting audio problems related to CEC and ARC I am at the point of returning the TV.

Love love love LG OLED tv's
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a massive fan of LG Oled Tv's. I started with the 65 LG C8 and put over 12,000 hours on it. My next one was a 77 LG C2 which is my main Movie and Video game TV. I have just updated to the 65 LG G4 and I am blown away. Being in the bedroom I need a brighter tv and the G4 is making my girlfriend and I very happy! Even her standard SDR contents looks better. We love watching Netflix, Apple TV and sports. I do plan to move my PS5 upstairs to test out the gaming which I know will be amazing. I am very happy with the upgrade and will continue to support LG for years to come.

The most astonishing TV I have ever owned. Picture perfect viewing with so many bells and whistles.
Extremely easy to set up and operate. My lounge room is of average size, certainly not small and this 83 inch LG is like a mini IMAX. With the quality that LG produce today no LG TV is too big. When my Wife and I were shopping for this TV she said no, it's too big. Now she says next time we go even bigger. It is incredible how close you can be to the screen and have perfect, clear picture quality. Our last LG TV lasted 14 years and had fantastic picture quality till the very end. You will not be disappointed with this 83inch LG OLED TV

Preinstalled apps like Netflix, Apple TV, Prime Video, Peacock, and Sling TV, just to name a few are compatible with the webOS 24 TV Platform (Operating System) that the 65-inch Class LG OLED evo G4 4K Smart TV 2024 with Supplied TV Stand, Model # OLED65G4SUB and other 2024 LG Smart TVs run on.
You can only download and install apps that are compatible with our webOS TV Platform.
The webOS version varies for different years.
For example, our 2021 webOS TVs run on our 2021 webOS 6.0 version. We changed the naming convention for the 2022 webOS version or later so it reflects the year of development, so 2022 LG webOS TVs run on our webOS 22 TV Platform, our 2023 models run on our webOS 23 TV Platform and our 2024 models run on our wbOS 24 TV Platform...^Ivan.

Why do you not provide an online wall mount template (or rough in dimensions) for the G4 series? It used to be available. I need to rough in electrical and data and I believe that LG has moved the connection location on the 77/83/97 sets. Please help.

Does the included wall mount allow any movement angle or tilt?

The included flush mount for the 83-inch Class LG OLED evo G4 4K Smart TV 2024 with Supplied Wall Mount, Model # OLED83G4WUA, does not tilt nor can it be angled.
You can only pull the TV away from the wall for cable management; it cannot be used with the TV extended away from the wall.
The TV has a 400mm x 400mm VESA Mount Pattern that can be used with third-party Full Motion or Tilting VESA-compliant Wall mounts that support the TV's VESA Mount Pattern or with the Full Motion LG EZ Slim Wall Mount for LG TVs (VESA - 400 x 400), Model # LSW440B...^Ivan.

Two apps I like are missing: PBS and Kanopy. I can get them on the browser, but when I try and stream video content, video stops. Is there a way around this? WiFi signal is strong, no ethernet for TV. Netflix and Youtube stream fine.
