Rated 1 out of 5 by from Frustrating and annoying. I bought this TV and began set-up. First from the start the voice assistant spoke really fast, perhaps a clue something was wrong. The remote is horrible, I was unable to even enter my email address in the set up, After a few letters it would jump past the address bar and not let me back. The remote has a mind of it's own and jumps all over the screen with no input. After finally getting my xfinity app loaded I found I could not access the guide. Even my ten year old fire tv functioned normally and allowed access to the guide. After several of the most frustrating hours I have ever spent with any tv I packed it up and returned it to the store. Very disappointing!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Welcome to you immersive experience [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow!!!! The LG 86'' UHD television is absolutely amazing. It is massive, intuitive, and the experience you get while watching something on it is out of this world! We could not wait to put it up. You do need a very sturdy bracket but once it is up, it is pretty easy and quick to setup. The remote is like a mouse, which took a little getting used to but so much easier than a traditional remote with direction buttons. With HD programs is where this tv comes alive. The picture is flawless, bright and the refresh rate is amazing. Did I mention it's absolutely huge! My family love movie nights now!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 43 Disappointing Inches Over complicated. Too many steps to perform to turn subtitles on and off - should be button access. Later in the day, a message appears "this app will now restart to free up memory" which is very annoying when watching a program. Despite bragging about WebOS, there is no way to access a browser, nor is a browser app available. The audio from the built-in speakers is terrible - "Boomy". The digital optical output is needed to connect to a optical to analogue converter to feed an amplifier / sound bar. And, of course, no access to "Red Button". I also hate the shaky Magic Remote - the up, down, left, right keys are so much easier to use.

I was sceptical we needed this size, but now I have experienced watching all my favourite basketball games is high definition I cannot go back. I also love the look of all my favourite sci fi movies on this screen. I can stop pining for a home projector now. I am enjoying the AI features that automatically detect whether I am watching a movie or live sports and adjust to the best picture and sound settings. I work full time and these features maximise my enjoyment of the product. The operating system did not work first go, but after resetting the TV it worked well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Cinematic experience from home I purchased this 86inch tv hesitantly, as I want to create a cinema room at home, but wasn't sure if this would be too big. However I am very glad I purchased it. I found it a bit fiddly to attach the stand, but got there in the end. And the tv is very heavy. The colour, picture and sound quality definitely makes up for any minor issues as mentioned. Once the tv is turned on, the set up is very simple, with the option to either set up using mobile or manually with the remote. The colours and picture quality is crisp. No issues. Great sound. I'm going to enjoy watching series and movies, as well as a bit of gaming! Very happy with this purchase and would recommend

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No issues, great TV I recently bought this tv and i have no regrets buying it after my old LG after 13 yrs gave up on me unfortunately, the motherboard gave up, it happens. I've read some negative reviews about this particular tv and don't see any issues, obviously people who wrote negstive reviews have no idea what they are talking about. Very easy to setup if you follow the on screen instructions, setting up my LG SN10 sounbar again, no issue. If you mix and match, yes you probably will come across issues, but this is not the TV's fault, it's the fault of the consumer who would rather just blame the product, rather than themselves, because its easier. Would without hestitation recommend this TV.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from New 2024 TV - Very Slow Apps & UI We have two other LG TVs, one is an OLED, and they both work great. This model seems to be extremely slow in comparison though. Switching between apps takes forever, even with Ethernet connected. We tried adjusting the settings and deleting some apps, even though it’s brand new but nothing helps. It appears to be some type of UI or processing error or something.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I repent my choice !! I dont have words to express my disappointment with this television. The processor is very slow, reminds of my stone age desktop when floppy was new. MY 2019 Um 7300 was way faster and smoother than this. The lag, even while turning on/off is beyond frustrating. The sudden ear blasting static on my bluetooth headset all of a sudden, and I could not find a solution for this. This is way regressive in technology. I repent my purchase .

Is there any way to get the 43UT80 to start up with an OTA picture without having to come up with the home screen every time I turn on the TV. This is so annoying, I have to go to pick antenna or the guide on WEB OS to get a channel.

To set up your 43UT8000AUA to start directly on the OTA picture without needing to navigate through the home screen every time, you can adjust the startup settings. Follow these steps: -Turn on your TV and press the settings button on the remote. -Go to General > System > Additional Settings. -Choose Home Settings > Power On Screen. -From there, select Antenna as the default option for startup. Does LG have a better remote than the standard "Magic Remote" model? Buttons are too small, too crowded, not labeled well, and, the remote makes the cursor very glitchy and erratic.

Why does LG not work with customers who have bought a product that is unusable for one reason or another? Just bought a new 55UT8000 and the "Magic Remote" is highly user unfriendly and cumbersome. User manual is crap. Buttons too small. Too crowded

Hello, Kathy239. The LG 65-inch Class UT8000 4K TV with webOS 24, Model # 65UT8000AUA, features a Sleep Timer, a Power On Timer, and a Power Off Timer. You can set the time for the Power On Timer that you want the TV to come, set it to repeat what time it comes on for each day of the week, set it for which input you want when it turns on, set the volume at which it should turn on with, or set the channel you want it to turn on with. If you do not want the POwer On Timer to repeat for each day of the week, you can set the option to None to operate the feature only once The Power Off function allows you to set the time at which you want the TV to turn off, or be set to repeat what time it turns off for each day of the week or set the option to None to operate the feature only once...^Ivan.
