Rated 3 out of 5 by from The jury is out! I have just bought this TV as a replacement for a much older Smart TV. On the plus side, the picture quality is excellent. Sound - not sure yet as it seems a bit variable. Currently waiting for delivery of an LG soundbar which will hopefully lift the listening experience. Now the bad points! The retailer's website says that this is supplied with a 'Magic ' remote. It is not and the standard remote takes me back to the days of Sinclair computers with spongy keys that work when they feel like it. It is truly awful! The retailer also claims that it has a 7 day catch-up facility via Freeview Play. It does not - the EPG will only move forwards, not back and is not integrated with Freeview Play. I am on the verge of rejecting the TV and returning it for a full refund on the basis that I have been sold something that is completely mis-described.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Product: so-so / Service: good Product: Jury is still out on this after a few weeks. Generally happy with it, images, movement and sound are all good, but there have been a few instances of concern: (a) where it seemed to "freeze" / became unresponsive to remote inputs. Switching to sleep an turning on again resolved it so far. (b) In some cases, the image resolution have deteriorated temporarily, notably where cameras switched views back & forth (eg in a two-person conversation) - but one view would be perfect and the other not. Weird... it might well be more a case of the data rather than the TV itself. Service (delivery): Harvey Norman was good here. Communication was fine and delivery prompt and as advertised.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Frustrated consumer Really frustrating trying to connect Alexa, which is the reason we bought the TV for elderly parent. The standard remote has no voice button and apparently a magic remote is needed - which is not mentioned anywhere!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from LG 65” TV The TV is excellent, easy to setup, install or update apps, seems stable enough on its fairly small feet. The feet are at either end, so the tv stand needs to be long enough, something to consider. The remote is a disaster. I’m used to LG, this is my fourth, and the spacing and positioning of the buttons are not intuitive, and you need to be able to see the buttons and read them. I keep accidentally pressing an adjacent button because I wear glasses and can’t see clearly in poor light. Compared to earlier lg remotes, this is horrible

Remote is NOT magic and is a piece that lots like a 1990 LG remote.The only difference is silly Apps like TV channel. Its not worth it. Seller lied that all LG TVs come with magic remote and this not user friendlly. Web browsing is crap

These should be made clear in the details. Also wish it had two tuners so you can record one channel whilst watching another.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from SOFTWARE and SKY Tele is great but I can't for the life of me work out how you can switch it on using the sky control (we have skygo) that fires up the SKY menu straight away. At the moment we use the LG control to switch it on and then select sky from the LG menu. On line info says if we have selected SKY as the prime input it should not do this. Can't be fussed to spend years on the internet looking for the solution (if there is one). Come on LG sort out your software. No everyone has the latest SKY equipment.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Awsome tv Just got this LG 55UR78 and its amazing. Im used to Android tv so havent got a Google feeling just yet. Only negative about this tv is the remote, buttons are so close and there is no navigation wheel which makes your fingers fumble a lot!!

Thanks for your question. Yes, all Smart TV's after 2009 have Freeview built-in, and only require an aerial connection and tuning. If you do not have an aerial, and use WiFi, you may need to download the Freeview+ App via the App store if not already included. Trust this helps! ^CO
