Great question! This has standard CD player functionality and is not compatible with SACDs. You will need a specialised SACD player for these, or a hybrid-SACD. This has a layer of CDDA which will be compatible to play in standard CD players. Hope this helps clarify! ^CO

Hello - how far can the loudspeakers be placed from the main unit without compromising sound?

Great question! Panasonic don't actually state how long the cabling is, however, based on imagery, you may be able to place these up to 1m away without issue. They do state it must be placed more than 10mm away from the main unit either side to allow for ventilation, on a flat surface, and away from TV's PC's, or other devices influenced by magnets. Can a turntable without preamp be used with this system

Thanks for your question. You will not be able to because the signal from a turntable's cartridge needs to be equalized and amplified properly using a preamp. The SC-PMX802GNK does not have a phono input either, and connecting one is not in line with normal unit operations, so we cannot guarantee it will work if attempted, and may void warranty.
