Easy to setup & use, average sound quality.
Kudos to Sonos for making easy to use products, which are compatible with many streaming services. My Sonos Connect has average sound quality from its RCA analog outputs, much better when I run the digital output into an external DAC. But cannot play 24-bit 96Kps or 192Kps files. This capability has been available in other streaming devices for several years now. Would recommend the Connect or Port to people who have mid-fi audio systems, like a soundbar or inexpensive multi-channel or stereo system. Would be nice to see Sonos introduce a streamer that isn't 5 years behind the market.

Very good quality sound and separation
I was an early adopter of Sonos in 2010. Playing throughout the house in multiple rooms, each playing different music when required, and reliably has been the hallmark of all of the products. Making sure the wi fi reached all parts of a big house will always be a challenge but good repeaters can now solve that issue. Most impressive product has been the S5 and Port, with multiple Play Ones close behind. Least impressive is the Sound Bar which is only so-so and even with Play Ones acting as rear/surround has been disappointing. There is still no substitute for a proper AV amp and quality Front, Centre and Surround speakers: Kef and Quad in my case.

Finally FLAC from iPhone!
I was frustrated that I could not play FLAC files from iPhone on Sonos Connect [through DragonFly Cobalt DAC]. The Sonos "line in" is actually a misnomer, as it is only a line in for sources that go through the Sonos app. Flac files are not read by the Sonos iPhone app, so there is no way to play FLAC flies on the Connect. The Port with AirPlay 2, however, can use AirPlay from Flac apps such as VOX or FlacBox directly to the Sonos Port. Set-up was pretty easy, took a couple of tries to get the Port recognized, but eventually it worked. I still cannot fathom why the "line in" is so botched&crippled on the Sonos products.

Be aware of the limited digital audio functionality
I wanted to add a pair of high fidelity wireless speakers to my Sonos system. However, the port does not provide an optical digital output option, leaving the rca analog connection as the only useable audio source (for my speakers) as it does not have coaxial digital option as provided by the port, omitting the digital audio benefits of the new speakers. Ultimately, my fault for assuming optical would be a standard audio connect. The lack of a noticeable sound quality 'upgrade' and no optical digital output source at the current price point is not good value add in my opinion.

Adequate but very overpriced.
Does everything as advertised but there's just no way there is $450 of value contained in this box. The only conclusion I can come to here is that during a Sonos' marketing brainstorming session they all agreed that people with existing hi-fi audio systems are totally used to buying expensive things of questionable intrinsic value. And dammit if they aren't correct. This does what I need it to do.... but I'm not happy about it.

Where is the High Res?
I bought this to replace a Connect due to change of software. It connects to a high quality music system. I don't think the music reproduction is as good as the Connect, therefore the DAC is not performing as well as the previous technology. Consequently I bypass the unit DAC and use the one in my music system. One of the reasons I upgraded (apart from management software) was because of the promise of being able to play high-res music, e.g. from Tidal. So far this is not the case and I am disappointed. If I could afford to replace this with a Bluesound Node 2i I would do.

Port is a must!
This is THE BEST product. It has reduced my need for my oknyo amp which was huge. And the port is so small....only thing.....don't get frustrated when setting it up as the directions are not clear. In my case I followed all the info on the app but had no sound. First thing I missed was to find out if my turntable contained a pre amp...I dug up the turntable info and YES. So I and to flick a switch on the turntable to engage the preamp.. my second miss was that it now becomes an "in-line" function on the Sonos. Once I found both of these my turntable worked (I'm using the sound bar beam and I have two other speakers in other rooms (one smart speakers)). Great sound and sooooo easy to move everything if I choose to.

Integrate and leverage your own stereo system
The Port allows you to use SONOS as a source for your own equipment. In my system, I have Sonos speakers nearly everywhere, except for the two preexisting large systems in the family room and back yard... they use a mix of components. With the Port, both of those systems become part of Sonos, complete with app control for source, volume, and include/exclude. Absent the Port, I would never have ventured into Sonos but now, I agree that it's terrific. Wherever you are on the property, upstairs, downstairs, or out in the pool deck, Sonos music is played throughout and it sounds like Disney, only at a higher quality!
