Rated 3 out of 5 by from Disappointing With over 30 years experience in using various straighteners on my hair, this Dyson product is disappointing. In comparison with my previous GHDs, to straighten my entire head of hair takes longer; the full battery at the start needs recharging; my finished hair is not as straight, sleek or as shiny; it is heavier; and it doesn't glide as well.

Points lost for the battery life because it’s really not great when it’s not connected to the charging cable. But I get a really great result when straightening and my hair actually holds a curl much better than other brands of straightener. It’s taken some getting used to as the sections you take need to be pretty small to avoid pulling but overall I’m pleased with the purchase.

The new one is so completely different to the first. It doesn’t get as hot and leaves my hair frizzy and it pulls the hair so much that it sounds like sandpaper.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Shocking battery life The battery doesnt last long cordless. Even with the cord connected, it still doesnt charge long enough. It dies cordless or with cord within 30 mins at 210 degrees. Besides that it’s an alright hair straighten. For the price, i thought it would be better.
