Super fastI had an Eero wifi system set up and would get 70 Mbps on my PS5. Now that I use this router, I get my full 200 Mbps. It is incredibly fast and does not drop my signal to my phone when I move around the house. It's expensive, but now there are no more headaches when it comes to my wifi. Just don't do the smart connect setting where it automatically selects the 2.4 and 5 Ghz for different devices. Some devices can't chose the correct setting. For example, my kids' Tonie Box doesn't support 5 Ghz. I had the smart connect setting on and it would not connect. I turned it off and signed in directly to the 2.4 Ghz setting and it connected.

I’ll be using this for a long whileThis router definitely performs! I have it bridged with my modem-router and it couldn’t have made my Internet anymore faster! Only thing I may sometimes have issues with involving the router would be moments in which it doesn’t connect to the internet after enabling wireless AP. But that only ever happens late into the night when I should prob get some sleep. Video conferences go really smooth with the bump in speed and it has amazing coverage! Even separated by a whole floor, my PS5 stays connected to the 5Ghz frequency no problem! To anyone looking for a good quality gaming router at a relatively great price, the search is over.

No VPN, No BuenoMy top reason for purchasing this router was to support my two sons who game via console. Consoles are particularly threatened by DDOS attacks, and I’m no exception having been under attack using my Comcast issued router. Without hybrid VPN capability at the router level, my IP address is exposed. Your equipment is not compatible with leading VPN subscription services like Nord. Fix this Netgear, it’s a major gap in the market as Norton only makes products for PC Gamers, console gamers are exposed!

Straight FIRE!I’ve been using TP-link or Ubiquity gear for at least a decade. Unfortunately I’ve been running into huge problems with stability or paywalls for options that should be included with the hardware. I chose Netgear for their reviews on reliability, speed, power and warranty. It’s only been installed for a week but I’ve not had to reboot once. Not once. Better throughput and power. Only 1 device required to cover as much as what I needed 3 mesh devices to cover previously. Such an improvement.

Nighthawk XR1000The overall product is very light and run quiet and cool.
I can run many WiFi devices at once with little interruptions.
So far, I haven’t noticed a significant increase in my ping at all. Gaming seems to be about the same as it was with my old router. (Linksys WRT 1900 ACS)
WiFi speeds are faster to all my devices, Ethernet cable is about the same.
The nighthawk xr1000 seems to be a reasonable deal. It’s not over priced, it does it’s job, and is worth a try.
Don’t expect it to magically make your ISP better. I have charter and I believe your ping only ends up being as good as your isp will give you.

XR1000 Needs Better FirmwarePurchased the Netgear XR1000 ~2 years ago and had nothing but problems. I've have over 50 wired and WiFi connected devices that I assigned static IP addresses. The router would continually move many of these devices to off-line status. I would have to remove all off-line devices every 3-4 days to partially restore connectivity. This manual task would work for 2-3 months, after this the software appeared to become corrupted requiring a reset to factory setting and spending hours reassigning static IP addresses.
I recently purchased a TP-Link AXE16000 and all router related problems disappeared.

Very fast and friendlyIt was so very easy to setup and pulls its weight and then some! I have 28 devices and they all work seamlessly. I have a gaming pc never lages for a second!! THIS IS THE BEST ROUTER I HAVE EVER HAD!!

Amazing home office router tailored for gamingI've always trusted NETGEAR for my home office networking needs, but I haven't had the chance to get some of their latest equipment until just recently. The Blackhawk XR1000 is an excellent choice for people who want to stream data with as little packet loss as possible, specifically for gaming and streaming. Game downloads are blisteringly quick, and upload speeds and performance are perfect for streaming. The management interface is simple and effective, and I could get to what I needed easily. The Blackhawk XR1000 is on my list of equipment that I could highly recommend to just about any gamer!
