Thanks for your question. This is not suitable for the Dyson Gen5 Detect Vacuum. The Dyson Floor Dok Multi Vacuum Stand is engineered to perfectly fit the following the V15 Detect, Dyson Outsize, and V11 models. Trust this helps!
