Competent basic microwaveDoes everything I need from a microwave, and very little that I don't need. (i.e. I can specify the power I want to cook at and the time I want to cook for!).
Seems to be a little more powerful than other microwaves I have used in the past.
A minor grizzle is the the quick cook function from just pressing the start button is 30sec. I prefer 1 min, but its not much trouble to press the button twice to dial up 1 min!
It's fairly utilitarian in terms of design and looks, but I don't think it looks particularly cheap either.

Cooks wellWe replaced our Sharp microwave with this newer model and are happy with the improvements. Cooks well and even, easy to operate, the finish chime is better than the repeating one of older models. Looks elegant and clock easy to see/read

Very DisappointedBought this microwave as had previously had a Sharp Carousel that lasted many years.
Thought Sharp was a good brand and reviews seemed positive. Unfortunately microwave had only been used less than 10 times and kept coming up with E5 error and fan still running so sounded like it was cooking but it wasn't. Would not expect a product to break down that soon. Very disappointing, will not buy Sharp again.

Great easy to use powerful microwaveThis is such an amazing microwave. Cooks everything so fast, has really lessened waiting time for things to cook. Has so many useful functions and is so easy to use, the steps show up on the screen! The only issue I have is it is too powerful to defrost smaller cuts of meat (I only cook for one or two) and so if the meat isn’t an even cut it will start cooking edges, you need to fuss around with cutting defrosted bits off or covering bits up with tin foil.
Overall though it is a huge improvement on my last one and I do recommend highly recommend it.

Hopeless for couples. Should come with a warning.After 13 years of great service, we decided to retire our Sharp microwave before it packed itself in. It felt fine to buy another Sharp.
This has been nothing but useless for anything other than manually setting a few minutes and guessing cook times on food.
The basic problem is that it’s so well featured, but nobody tells you that there are a range of odd minimums for these. So for us, there is no way that any of the fancy settings for cooking our frozen veggies will work. We have to cook two days’ worth in one hit just to reach the minimum. How daft.
We’re thinking of all the friends we have to invite round just so we can use auto functions and features.
It’s also advertised some places as ‘stainless’, or ‘stainless steel’, but really it’s just a flat powdercoated silver on plastic. So it will not match your other appliances if they are actually stainless steel.
Summary, this is not a patch on old Sharps. As none of the settings work with modest portions, this is basically just a glorified warmer and frozens defroster for a premium price.

Thanks for your question Mark. Most microwaves may have a painted, white or gray epoxy interior finish, a dark gray porcelain enamel finish, or a stainless cavity interior. In this instance, this has a painted gray epoxy interior. Hope this helps!
