lack of recipe book
I am very happy with the air fryer but would have liked a bigger basket,
I also think that the extra cooking plate should have been included.
You do not explain how to warm up the unit, so i assume you "just' turn it on empty.
Cooking firm items like drum sticks. steak, pies and french fries is fine but how do you cook a stew or any thing else with liquids in it, can you use a metal container?
I think that a recipe book should be included even just a small basic one to get you started.
It looks great siting on my bench top.

I was reluctant to buy when they first came on the market gimmicky that sort of thing!
It was one of my daughters who actually bought one and said I should try it over a weekend when they were away.
So I took her up on her offer and tried it out and I was amazed at the
fresh taste and crispness of the food I cooked, my husband loved it.
Hence I am now the proud owner two of these machines and there used nearly every day, I would be lost without them now....the oven rarely gets turned on these days saving on my electric bill as the the air fryers are much more efficient to run....according to my smart meter.

I ALREADY COULDN'T DO WITHOUT IT!
Absolutely a wonderful product. Anything I have cooked so far tastes better than when cooked in the oven or pan. Meats above all are crispy on the outside and juicy in the inside. Also, I have cooked the oven chips with this and they have never been better, not even in pubs/restaurants. On top of this, it is so easy to clean and it saves you time as it cooks things more quickly, without having to wait for it to get to temperature (we barely use the oven now). Only suggestion is to choose appropriately the size of your Airfryer depending on how big your family is.

A must for busy people!
I love my air fryer! It's as useful and as well used as my kettle and toaster, saving me so much time. This particular model is a nice compact size compared to others on the market and the pale grey colour means it doesn't look too intrusive on my worktop. I use it to cook everything that's frozen eg chips, fish fingers etc which take half the time and are crispier than when cooked in my oven. Great for 'baked' potatoes, usually around 12-15 mins create a potato that would normally need about an hour in the oven (just microwave them for a few mins first), courgettes with breadcrumb/cheese/parsley topping, even a banana cake! There are lots of recipes on the Philps Air Fryer app.

An amazing Airfryer
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First I am so glad that Philips gave us this apportunity to try a great product Air Fryer Essential, second my husband and I so impressed with this lovey product, it is so easy to use, the whole detailed information you want to know already have been added on the product, it is so elegant with a great size which fit even a small

Timer far from accurate.
Bought 2 days ago, was a little nervous to use the first time so went with hardboiled eggs, what could go wrong, right? Googled it and 10 mins at 160° seemed to be the ideal settings to use. What I found was that 10 mins on the timer was over 20 mins on the clock. I knew the eggs were done when I heard them explode! Wondering if anyone else has have an issue with the timer on this device? Was told it was a new model, just released in Australia.

Easy Healthy Fast
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Nice looking, no mess, no fuss, simple to use, easy to clean, giving perfect results every single time. We love the Philips AirFryer. The 800g capacity is only suitable for snacks or side dishes for our large family but we have enjoyed experimenting with all kinds of dishes: baking, frying, roasting... we've tried it all with perfect results each and every time. The online recipe book is jam packed with recipes and inspiration if we ever want to branch out from our usual choices. This is an excellent "must-have" kitchen appliance garanteed not to sit unused at the back of a cupboard or waste kitchen bench space.

Perfect chips with no smell
I was a little dubious as I am not a fried food eater.
This Airfryer is solid, well built, sturdy and does not feel as though it would fall apart at any time.
My 1st attempt was to cook chips, they came out wonderful, clean up is so easy, just a wipe of a kitchen towel, no disgusting grease, fat burning or nasty smells.
I am looking forward to some nice chicken next, I can't wait!
