[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Whether with water or milk, whether with syrup or fruit - a shave ice is so refreshing and very easy to make with the Ice Shaver from KitchenAid. The day before, freeze any flavor in one of the 4 cans (you don't need much space in the freezer), then place the ice shaver on the front of the food processor, insert the knife (fine/coarse), insert the block of ice, bowl under the ice shaver and set to level 10 you get great ice cream. Cleaning is quick: partly in the dishwasher, partly by hand. I'm really excited and the KitchenAid Ice Shaver is being used a lot at the moment.

After a few weeks one of the blades went rusty and I changed it over to the second blade which has been fine. I did contact KA and they sent replacement blades. The actual functionality of the product is amazing. I have to make the ice blocks in advance and remove them from the containers and make more and then store bags of the, because one block doesn’t really give you mush ice if you’re wanting a slushy type drink so the option of buying more of the ice block moulds would be good especially as you have to position them in the machine a certain way for it to work.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fun gadget for summer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Ice Shaver sure is a fun addition for my KitchenAid. I have tried a few varietes of shaved ice (or like my kids said "Snow in a bowl"). Freezing flavoured icepucks (like water & syrup or fruit juice) wasn't as flavourful as using plain water and pouring syrup on top. But it looked pretty ;) Using the Ice Shaver is pretty easy. Just attach it like every other attachment that is used up front of the kitchen aid. Inserting the ice puck was easy after I had finally found out the right direction. Sometimes reading the manual can help ;) My Kids definitely like the shaved Ice. I haben't tried freezing and shaving fruits so far but I will.

Be the envy of everyone!!! How?? By making THE BEST MARGARITAS IN THE WORLD!!!! This ice shaver makes the fluffiest ice you can imagine, which as we all knows goes beautifully well with tequila, mixer, a salt rimmed glass and lime juice then ends with a hangover to be proud of. Sure. Make the kids slushies if you must, but, margaritas…… You’ll be the envy of your friends! The hostess with the mostess. Your kitchen will be The Place To Be. It’s a great price but you’ll spend lots on some Jose Cuervo……

Atm we are trying different flavours of Slushies , will be great and refreshing in summer, especially as we live in North Queensland.

There's always room for ice cream. But not in the freezer. And you are very limited in the choice of varieties. Also, you never really know what's in there. And exactly when friends announce themselves spontaneously, the ice cream can is of course empty. Or even worse: the ice for the drinks is not enough. That's a thing of the past for us. We have the KitchenAid Shave Ice Attachment and are very impressed. The trend from Hawaii has also arrived here in Europe for some time. But not only here in Germany you can see more and more the pop-up store with the bowls of the very refreshing little ice towers with all sorts of syrup on top. Many other countries know this delicacy under a different name. It's called granita in Italy, piraguas in Puerto Rico and in Japan you have to look for kakigori. If you search the internet you will find tons of delicious recipes. And now we can do all these great things at home. With the Shave Ice attachment. Handling is super easy. We tried it with 3 people in a row. Read user manual, read quick start guide and read no manual. Everyone came to the refreshing delicacy at the end. The attachment is high quality and can be operated intuitively. Everything is provided with markings and pictograms for easy handling. Thanks to their slightly conical shape or indentations, the individual parts only fit together in one way and a clicking sound when you put them together correctly confirms the correct fit. Simple and safe. You have the choice between fine and coarse shave ice. The choice is offered by the two blade inserts. These are inserted into the bottom of the shave cup. Like all attachments, the Shave Ice attachment is attached at the front using the connecting hub. A turning movement pulls the "stamp", which is responsible for the contact pressure of the ice block against the knife, upwards. This is the only way to place the block of ice in the shave cup. After a short thawing time, put the desired frozen block of ice in the shave cup, let the "stamp" down again and you're ready to go. Switch on level 10 and after less than 60 seconds you can already enjoy. 4 beakers with lids for freezing the election liquid are included. And after you've enjoyed it, cleaning it up couldn't be easier. Except for the attachment, which is connected directly to the machine, everything can go in the upper rack of the dishwasher. The attachment can be easily cleaned with a little bit of dish soap and a simple cloth by hand. Finished. Although I always recommend not cleaning knives and blades in the dishwasher. But everyone has to decide for themselves. Anyone who thinks that they can only use it to turn water into ice and pour boring syrup over it is wrong. The possibilities are endless. Have you thought about all the other delicious drinks? How about: milk, juice, lemonade, fruit puree, vegetable juice (just think of melon) mixed milk drinks such as banana milk, alcoholic drinks (this depends on the freezing point), tea, coffee, ... Or do you think of all the delicious cocktails that are no longer watered down by the ice... because the ice consists of frozen cocktails. Desserts can be refined creatively and how about adding mochi? Another delicious trend. The shave ice attachment completely convinced us. Quickly ready for use, super easy to clean and endless possibilities. Clear purchase recommendation.

Besides well-known premium brands, we especially like homemade ice cream. And since we are also big KitchenAid fans... What could be more obvious... But we had never heard of the new trend until this accessory, but we were immediately curious. So we had to try it out. And what can we say? We are thrilled! It's easy to use, usual high quality and just fun. We are still looking for more recipes, but the first tests were simply exciting and delicious. There will be many more to follow. Great that it is so varied and at the same time light dishes are possible. The usage is super simple. And the first recipes from KitchenAid itself worked great.
