Rated 3 out of 5 by from Flawed Have had this for 4 months now thorough summer. It does a good enough job cooling but bangs loudly when the compressor goes on and off. Dehumidifier function only works if it's connected to an external drain hose (not supplied). Internal water tray fills up very fast (hours) in cooling mode on a humid day. Display is blinding bright blue light (not adjustable) and buttons are not back lit so you're always fumbling for the right one. Temp up and down buttons are back to front (up is left side, down is right) so you're always hitting the wrong one first. Remote control is useless. All in all a noisy, poorly designed and built product.

Quieter than I expected and it has a simple control and display presentation that doesn't require interpretation. Note that the unit shouldn't be run for 24 hours after installation if transported on its side and the notice stating this is hidden at the rear base. My only issue is the exhaust hose which feels fragile and flimsy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Unit Good Unit, cools very well, a tiny bit noisy when the compressor kicks in and out compared to the previous Dimplex unit I had, The compressor seems to turn on and off more frequently then the previous one I had but perhaps this is an energy saving thing. Would purchase again.

Self Evaporative which saves multiple bucket empying several times a day which I was doing with my last non Dimplex brand portable Air Con. This is the main bonus with this unit! Also Much Quieter than that same as above. This unit 11kg lighter also. Very Happy indeed!
