In spite of the rarity of the brand, it was relatively easy to program the remote so that it controlled the air conditioner.

Rated 1 out of 5 by BradvB from Good for only a Few functions I can only turn the heat pump off or on, set temp and mode. I cant set a clock or timer. I cant change other settings that the heatpump has. I have tried all their codes for my brand. Many of them provide the same functionality but none of them allow me to use a timer rendering this remote almost useless. Furthermore their only instructions are how to type in codes. Try a different brand if you want proper functionality

Will this remote work with emi america series heat pump

Thanks for your question Bill. Sadly, this is not compatible with EMI RetroAire model Heat Pumps or Air Con units. You will need to approach EMI directly in this instance. Hope this helps clarify! ^CO
