Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dyson HP09 - I was excited I bought a month ago and was very excited to bring it home. After using it all month I am disappointed. It stays on yellow consistently and it puts out a smell. I get the feeling the smell it puts off is triggering the sensors therefore not ever cleaning the room air or returning to a green zone. Instead, when I sit near the purifier it smells dusty like outdoorsy. I am past the 14 day return policy for the retailer and very displeased to the point I’m not turning it on anymore due to the smell. It cost too much to not be as effective as my older dyson. I bring the pure cool in my living room and it shows green while the hp09 stays at yellow. :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Quiet purifier and good for large rooms [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product about a week ago. It is much bigger than the other Dyson purfier units, so its great for larger rooms. Its quieter when it runs. The filteration system is impressive and watching the air quality on the Dyson app is consistent with what is going on in the environment. It is unfortunate that this system cannot control the heating mechanism from the Dyson app, it can do everything else like setting cooling, modes, airflow speed, timer, night mode and airflow detection. The heating parameters can only be changed with the physical remote control that came with the unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality Engineering Operation, control interface and value for money are to expected Dyson standard. My only suggestions for improvement are for the night time display (moon symbol) to not blank out the measured ambient temperature and for the displayed fan speed, when overriden by the to show controller, to display the actual fan speed rather than a selected speed that is overriden. All up a quality product with utility as a fan, heater and purifier for any bed-room or dining/living room. Not cheap but achieves design intent. Should it prove reliable for 5 years and should 12-monthly filter replacements be offered at a discount, the life cycle value will be high.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice little purifier The whole setup takes me less than 1 minute from the moment it was unboxed, just attach the 2 filters and turn it on. The machine looks very sleek, it's not hot to touch when it's turned on, which is great with kids around. The cable is also long enough so it can be easily moved around. I'm currently using this to purify and heat up our living room in the winter months, the heating function works very well for a small room. Don't expect this to heat up the whole living room. I really like the app that comes with it, I can turn the machine on/off with convenience. Overall I think this is a great product and I am very happy with it.

The amount of dust that covered everything, and the congestion that I woke up with led me to spend the money for this particular air purifier. I am beyond happy. No more dust. No more congestion. I live in a small apartment, so the added bonus of having a heater and a fan in one means less clutter. It also means I’m never concerned that my tiny apartment smells like the food I’ve cooked or the running shoes I’ve just kicked off at the door. I can control the fan or heat from my phone at work to keep my dog comfortable at home. Definitely recommend !!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Clean air and quick heat Recently received my HP09 and have kept it mainly in the bedroom to reduce dust etc to help my allergies. My eyes aren't as itchy as they normally are in the mornings so it's definitely making a difference. Being winter its great to turn it on in the morning while I get ready for work as normally I just freeze as there's no point putting the reverse cycle aircon on for a short time. Amazed at what it recognises is in the air. I had the unit going in the bedroom and it spiked to red when it recognised the cooking fumes/odours from my dinner that was cooking in the oven 5+ metres down the hallway with the door closed! Loving it!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Somewhat disappointed The unit works great at heating, however, when moving it to different locations it is heavy for me with limited strength issues. I got a Sleep No. bed on Friday and it smells probably from formaldehyde, but when I look at the reading on this Dyson unit, it says everything is in the "good" range. If I can smell this odor the reason I bought this product was to get rid of gases which I am very sensitive to, and the smell continues. After buying this product I also had a new Trane A/C installed with an extra "halo" air scrubber, but the smell from the bed continues. I will continue to run the Dyson and hope the smell dissipates.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from BEWARE IT IS LOUD ON HEAT MODE! For a machine with such a high cost and touted features, I am disappointed at the noise when on heating mode. Even when set on night mode and the lowest fan speed (1), it blasts air loudly, which wakes us up constantly at night and defeats the whole purpose of a night mode. When the temperature drops below the set temperature, the unit either blasts air vigorously to get up to temperature, and then turns off, there's no in between. I am not a very light sleeper and wouldn't be saying this if it was relatively tolerable, but when there are MUCH cheaper options that can achieve quiet operation, this falls well short of the mark.

Hi is there a return policy if we are unsatisfied with the product (trial) Do the filters need replacing or are they cleanable?

Great question Lloyd. We do have our Change of Mind policy which does have some requirements. We may also be able to accept a return if the unit is deemed faulty, but would to be assessed before confirming. The filters do need to be replaced, and are a consumable which can be ordered through our stores or Dyson directly. Hope this helps clarify.
