Amazing Speaker[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This thing is perfect for small gatherings or just chilling in your living room. I really enjoy how it has warm audio while the bass is PRESENT. I also love how they put the sub on the bottom of the speaker. It shakes the floor in my apartment and I love it.
I also love how it connects to my smart home set up. I get to pair it with my other speakers around the house via WIFI. Really sets the mood when ever I host small get togethers.
The build quality does feel rugged(I won't be putting it to the test). Really nice design all around. They did something with the 300. Bravo!

Bass at the bottom !!!
Speaker needs to be placed on hard surface and the back of speaker be close to a wall for a much better speaker bass sound quality. I hear voice treble and deep voice bass. Its volume and treble is limited to its size.I love the quality of sound and equalization usage.
Now let’s step away from Bluetooth for a bit we got better tech with this device we have WiFi connection. So the notification or occasional browsing background noise doesn’t play over speaker. This feature should be intergrated on all JBL products plus the voice commands are great features as well.

My new everywhere speaker. Living room to backyard[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a jbl flip and clip and those are nice for a single room of sound. This authentics 300 fills the entire house with great clear sound. We take it outside and we can clearly hear quality music through the entire backyard. Even my neighbors can hear it. This quickly replaced my heavy rock-block. It easily connects to my Amazon music over WiFi or just Bluetooth to my phone. Both sound great. The bass and treble controls allow me to adjust to my taste. Not to mention this speaker looks great covered in leather like material. It’s easy to carry around. Not too heavy either.

Iconic Retro looks with current technology![This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This speaker blows me away, the sound is so full and rich with detail. Even though it is small in size and portable, it will fill your space with sound. The retro styling takes me back to the JBLs I had in high school. It was pretty easy to set up with the JBL One app, I did have to try several times to set up my Alexa account, but the Google Assistant went through on first try. Absolutely love the portable nature and long life battery. We take it out to the back yard for a fall-time fire or in the kitchen, matches our backsplash perfectly. The materials JBL used for construction feel and have the look of high quality. This is becoming my favorite speaker in the house.

Great sound provided in small to mid size room[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Sweet sound but it's not linkable. The JBL Extreme portables are a better option of you are looking to build more of a surround sound. The Authentic 300 has amazing bass and clean crisp mids and highs. It is easily a winner when it comes to sound quality and I even like the funky retro look. My only ding is for not having the ability to link 2 together but aside from that, this will definetly fit the bill on sound quantity. I also give high marks for the Bluetooth linkability. It seems to be much more seamless in connection or granting others permission to play from their devices.

The theble and bass buttons have a very nice design on the top of the speakers. The sound is like if it came from a bigger speaker is very clear, perfect to be a home speaker or outdoor because it has a rechargeable battery for 8 hours and you can take it anywhere , the retro design is great.

Is it okay to leave this speaker constantly plugged into mains with power on? Will it damage battery? Currently plugged into shared outlet with tv box that is always powered on.

Will using it plugged in harm the battery?

Thanks for your question. There is no harm in using the JBL Authentics 300 while it's charging. The battery will not overcharge since our products have PCM circuits that manage the charging of the battery. However, it may take additional time to get a full battery if used while plugged in.

Dies the model 300 provide proper STEREO sound?

You say that the model 300 produces stereo sound, but I noticed this capability is not stated in the 'general specifications' list like it is for the model 200. You may want to update the general specifications list for this model to reflect that it also has that capability if indeed it does to eliminate further questions and confusion. Please confirm. Also, I see what appears to be conflicting answers here regarding using two units for separate left and right channels. In the answer to my question, you say "On the other hand, if you have two units that you'd like to set in Stereo mode you can use either Airplay, Chromecast, or Alexa MRM in order to do so.' However in the question below mine asking about doing this, you said "Our JBL Authentics 300 cannot be paired with a similar speaker model and produce stereo sound." So which is it? Is it possible or not?

Thanks for your inquiry. Our JBL Authentics 300 cannot be paired with a similar speaker model and produce stereo sound. But you can place multiple JBL Authentics speakers throughout your home and using the Google Home app or Amazon Alexa app, you can set the mood in every room by connecting two or more speakers to a single playlist and getting everybody moving to the same beat.

can the maximum battery charge be limited to extend the lifespan of the battery?

In order to increase the lifespan of the battery on the JBL Authentics 300, please do the following:
Avoid long-term usage in high temperature environment. This will drastically affect battery life and performance.
Avoid charging in the sun. This will drastically affect battery life and performance.
Do not leave the unit fully discharged. This is very bad for the battery. When unit stops working because the battery is completely depleted, recharge as soon as possible.
