Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changing! I am a big music listener, I have nice studio monitors and studio grade headphones, so I was skeptical about bone conducting headphones. I realize these serve a totally different purpose than hifi listening, but I still wasn’t sure how I’d feel. A few weeks in, and I’m loving them! The sound quality is incredible, easily on par with in ears like AirPods and the like. For working out, walking the dogs, or taking calls on the go, the open ear design is phenomenal. With earplugs in, the sound quality is even better and great for working in a noisy cafe or just trying to get some privacy. Love these so far and can’t recommend them enough!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ok Overall - could be better This is my second pair of bone connection Shokz. The first pair stopped working for some reason after about 2 years. Then I bought Shokz air, but lost the charger case and you cant get another one. So I bought pro 2. It has a USB-C which is great to avoid multiple cord issues, especially on trips. Cons: max volume is too low, not always an issue, but it was hard to hear some audio books and could not really rock out while hitting tennis balls. Bass could be better. Can mold bend the set to fit your head/ears. It should be made out of rigid but moldable material, like a metal coat hanger type of rigidity. Pros: Light. Comfortable. Charging USB-C.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A nice upgrade. After using my open run pro for a long time at work, so I can listen to music and hear people around me. These are a fantastic update. Can hear my music much better Wherever the sound buds are located. I do miss the magnetic quick connect charger. But I understand why it's missing. So they lose a little bit of user friendliness, where you have to be a little more careful to charge them. But It does open up a wide range of charging solutions and you don't have to carry the quick connect cable with you everywhere you go. The extended battery life is also really nice. I can listen All Day. Come home and not have an issue of running out of battery power.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I miss the previous design I had to purchase new Shokz because I lost mine. I miss several features that were on my old Shokz. 1. The voice telling me that I'm connected 2. The voice telling me goodbye and I'm disconnected ( now the chime is just different from on or off - I haven't quite figured out which is which) 3. The old charging cable. I have had 3 old Shinzo and had charging cables in several locations - so easy just to connect the magnet - now cumbersome by opening the charging port cover 4. Sound quality is not quite as good I have had Shokz for 7 years and wear everyday for walking, running, housework, gardening - and more - but I may try and find an older version if I can

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Single-sided Deafness To be sure, Shokz were developed and engineered for the hearing. I have single-sided deafness (SSD). I have tried several brands of bone conducting headphones. With Shokz I began with a pair of OpenRun, then OpenRun Pro and now OpenRun Pro 2. Shokz have literally been a game changer for me. I am now able to hear music in stereo. I can connect to my TV and hear the dialogue. The new Pro 2s have raised the bar for bone conducting headphones. Combined with the Shokz app, you can adjust the sound to your liking. Again, Shokz may not have been developed for SSD or hard of hearing. However, the possibilities Shokz bring to this community cannot be overstated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Another hit from Shokz! I recently recieved the latest Shokz OpenRun 2 headseat and I love them. The is a bit of a trade off as the overall volume seems a bit lower however the sound quality is improved. That aside, it contains many of the features we've come to love about the Shokz brand. They are comfortable to wear, easy to use, and very sleek-looking. The new app, provides a handy interface where you can manage many of the options and settings that the headset offers; this aids in the improved user-friendlyness as you no longer have to try and rememeber various button combinations for things like multi-point pairing and eualizer settings.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from OpenRun Pro 2 lower overall volume than previous model. This does have greater frequency range in lows and highs. It is enjoyable and noticeable in environments with no or very little background noise. However, those improvements are not noticeable at all in moderate to higher background noise environments. Overall higher volume is significantly lower than the previous OpenRun Pro model. I use these at work and I put earplugs in for my tasks and also to block out background noise to hear the headset better. That technique is not nearly as effective with the OpenRun Pro 2. Because hearing in more environments is more important to me than having a small amount of bass and a little more treble, I prefer the previous OpenRun Pro 2.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great but not for cycling I have the original Shokz and the sound quality on the OpenRun Pro 2 is AMAZING in comparison. Much crisper and clearer sound with well balanced highs and lows. Great for running and walking but when I’m cycling, the wind noise overpowers the sound of the OpenRun Pro 2 unless I turn it up literally all the way. This is due to the fact that it’s a combination of bone and air conduction. With my originals which are pure bone conduction, I can still hear my music while cycling at a fraction of the volume. So despite the improved sound quality, I’ll be sticking with what I got so I can hear my music while cycling.
