The DVD was really helpful in threading the machine along with the colour coding threading. I am doing basic overlocking of seams at present but will try other stitches as my confidence grows. I was impressed with how easy it is to use. I am very happy with my purchase.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Spent hours trying to figure out how to use it I bought this machine last week with all my hopes and dreams of finally being able to work on a long awaited project and thought it was worth the investment. The thread keeps breaking, there aren’t many videos on YouTube or TikTok that can help with threading this exact model, I can’t figure out what’s wrong with it, I’ve tried to do a hem roll but it won’t do it. It’s not broken but I’ll need to take it to a technician because I’ve spent hours trying to sort this and regret ever buying it now. This machine is a puzzle for any newbie

Having had very little use in that time, went to re-thread and the spring on the lower looper threading lever gave way!! Very annoyed and disappointed that it has to now be sent away and fixed. Concerned that it may be a "lemon" - would prefer it to be exchanged for a new one rather than be taken apart and messed with.

It is my first overlocker and I bought it after researching many other overlocker brands. I love how easy it is to thread, and the Instruction Manual is clear and well-illustrated. I've already benefitted by watching several YouTube videos about the Brother 2504D, which offer handy tips and good advice on its use. And I really like the Trim Trap as it keeps my stitching area tidy. I look forward to many years of using my new machine!

I found a great video on YouTube which helped a lot. This machine gives a professional finish to all sewing projects.
