Rated 3 out of 5 by from Wish it wasn't plastic... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The 12" Stanley square made of ABS plastic was totally fine. On the plus side, it is lighter weight and was square. The notches were easy to use and it worked fine for all of the things you expect out of a 12" square. My only complaint is that I prefer aluminum instead of the plastic. I found that after only a few uses I was seeing more damage on the square than previous, aluminum squares I have used. I was even damaging it in my home shop, so I would imagine it wouldn't hold up as well on a job site, especially if the plastic was regularly exposed to sunlight and cold and became brittle over time.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Saw square I saw my son-in-law using a similar smaller tool to do 'quick and dirty' battery circular saw timber cutting, so I checked my local hardware shop and found the Stanley Dual Colour Square. I rip up old free pallets to make various items around the house and up to now I have used a lot of time measuring and clamping wood guides, found the saw hits the clamps, dismantle and re-position, go off true and get annoyed. The Stanley square has a nice thick guide edge for the circular saw and requires only one 30mm measurement to position the sawcut perfectly. I wish I'd found this tool YEARS ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastically Accurate! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Stanley Sual Colored Quicksquare is the bee's knees! It does everything from measuring, leveling, and maintaining a straight line while measuring. I found this Quicksquare to be extremely accurate, very durable, and excellent at maintaining its color/printing after consistent and labored use! I do wish it came with a case or some way to make it easier to carry around with me. It is a very large tool, but I would still purchase it again (if I needed it, but these last forever). I highly recommend it for anyone seeking accurate and professional results!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Bigger square is not "square" I bought this inexpensive set because I'm a novice. I wasn't sure I'd use it a lot and thus I tried to save money over a quality metal set. It turns out this set is VERY useful and I used it so much! However, the bigger square is, critically, NOT square! The 90-degree angle is just a little off. The smaller square is fine. It surprised me because I would have thought these items would be injection-molded and therefore there'd be no room for errors. I wonder how many sets of these that have been made and sold are also not square. With hindsight, I should have bought a quality metal set.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the fact that the markings are all molded in and not just printed on the surface and that they are definitely contrasting colors! I was even surprised that the accuracy was spot on when I did a flip test to check the square's accuracy. I also like the heft meaning it will stay in place, and all the clearly marked cues for using the different functions of the square - it was also a full 12" which makes marking any framing materials a piece of cake.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First used this product as a simple guide for cross cuts with a circular saw, and later used to quickly gauge the square of raised garden benches. This square really impressed me with construction and quality. Made from heavy duty plastic, and the markings were well done and very visible. Definitely advantageous having it in the tool box.

It is a great tool for stair stringer layout, trusses layout, or using any material six inches and bigger. This isn’t the ideal tool for your pouches due to size, but the bright color allows you to quickly identify it at your work station.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best square I didnt know I needed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great in between from a framing square and speed square. I have used it with 2x10s and 2x12s, layouts for openings, I like that its bright, easy to see hard to lose. I would rather store this compared to framing square, they alsays get bent some how, this square seems to fit easier in tool box, bucket, crate...
