Rated 2 out of 5 by from Gorgeous blue shade, poor quality mascara :( I am obsessed with blue mascara and have been buying and testing different brands, shades of blue and mascara quality. I purchased ControlledChaos last month and this blue is hands-down my absolute favorite of the 8or9 others I have. With my dark br hair, light br eyes and this blue is stunning! VERY SADLY though, the mascara itself is not good quality. I've tried multiple times with different approaches to application and I always end up with flakes in my eyeballs and around my eyes after ~4 hours. I REALLY hope Shiseido improves this formula and keeps this color!!! I'm trying to find a similar shade in a better quality mascara but this color blue is so far unique. :/. Please fix Shiseido!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great color, texture, and brush! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great mascara! The formula goes on smooth, gives volume and length, and doesn't flake throughout the day. I bought the colors and they are absolutely beautiful and vibrant. To top it all off, I really love the brush. Sometimes a mediocre brush really kills it for me, but this brush has a unique shape that makes it really easy to catch the most inner and outer corner lashes, and doesn't push through the bottom ones and smear beneath the eye. All around A+ product.

I bought this as a Christmas gift for a friend after she complimented me. The colors really stand out too, which I love. This mascara lengthens my lashes which helps with making them stand out. This might be the first mascara I use up before it dries up, I wear it that often. I have all three colors and switch between them. The emerald is definitely the color which is most noticeable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Controlled Chaos is Apropos [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a special mascara. Lengthens quite a bit, thickens just right. There is some clumping and flaking, but the finished look in the black color is turned out and professional (or bohemian if you're good with the 2-sided wand.) Through the day, it wears fair with some smearing, to be expected as I don't think it's waterproof. And that means if you fall asleep with it on, it won't rip your eyelashes off. So far, it lasts alright. Very pigmented. I'm tempted to try the colors. This is among the best mascaras I've tried. The name "Controlled Chaos" is apropos Shiseido quality.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a great mascara! Shiseido Shiseido Controlled Chaos Ink Mascara As a lover of Shiseido for decades, I am at a loss as to how this crumbly product made it to market. The poorly shaped brush is unable to get anywhere near my inner lashes without scratching the delicate eye area. The mascara itself leaves little balls of glob along my lashes and does not evenly coat. Once dry - and it IS dry - it begins crumbling off and leaving a mess beneath the eye area. Contact wearers beware! What I found is total chaos. Despite using a lash curler first, this left my lashes twisting in different directions and my guess is that when it dries, it must shrink enough to create a tug on the lash. I honestly cannot remember the last time I've tried any mascara and been so disappointed. Not for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing!! I bought this for the first time when I realized I forgot to pack my usual drugstore mascara on a vacation. I had no idea it would be this great! It took a bit of getting used to, but now it's my favorite mascara and this is my third time buying it. I have naturally long lashes, but they don't show unless I have a good mascara on. This one takes the cake! Sorry about the picture being blurry. :( You still can see how amazing it makes the lashes look!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love my lashes! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this mascara for my daughter, but I ended up keeping it and getting another one for her. My lashes look full and natural. There's no smudging at all. It stays on until I wash it off, and it comes off easily with my Shiseido eye makeup remover. I don't typically buy mascara with a bigger wand, but I'm sure glad I tried this one. I'll definitely buy this again.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from MY VIBRANT MASCARA WASNT ALL THAT The product was a bit of a disappoint because it is very dry.. tends to even clump after a couple hours of wear And.. the blue and purple weren't as vibrant as I had hoped for.. I probably will move on from this brand when I've completed the tub It's not the consistency I had hoped it really didn't maximize lash length either.. that too is very important to my aging lashes .. I want vibrant and lash building in my mascara Not a dry clumpy brush which the customer better watch when applying .. you could end up going to work with a messy
