Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Betrayal I have an oily t-zone and it definitely comes through my makeup during the day, and this spray definitely helps with the longevity of my makeup (when used as a primer+setting spray. I liked the mister for the first few weeks UNTIL the powder that's in the formula for the mattifying effect clogged the nozzle and it wouldn't spray anymore. A youtube search revealed that many people experience the same problem with this particular version. I tried using nail polish remover to dissolve the block in the nozzle but the mister seemed to not produce a very fine mist anymore. I'll use the rest of this by taking the lid off and applying as a toner-style thing but i won't repurchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Holy Grail I feel that everybody has tried this product at least once! I first tried this setting spray like 8 years ago and although i've added to my setting spray collection since, i always reach for this setting spray. It really locks in your makeup and makes it last all day/night. It doesn't feel gross on your face and doesn't feel like it's clogging your pores which i've found other sprays do. I have this product in full size and i've also bought them in a trio in the mini travel size. This product gives such a fresh feeling, whether you're putting it on before makeup, during or after, you can never use too much. Highly recommend giving this a go if you haven't already, the scent is subtle and pleasant too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still my go to This is still after years my go to setting spray it’s so fresh and hydrating but also sticks and mattifies my make up down so well. I have used this before going out of a night time clubbing and it holds my make up down all night. I feel like this will forever be a staple for me and for so many other girls, I love this map version, but I also do love the original fix me setting spray as well I have recommended this to friends and family members and also been recommended this product years ago by make up artist and it is 10 out of 10 the best setting spray ever

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Great as a base but not so much to reduce shine I was lucky enough to receive this to trial but I can't say that I really like it that much. My skin is oily and this is meant to assist in reducing the shine but I haven't found this to be the case for myself personally. I do like using it as a base before foundation as it's a good primer that helps my foundation stay on all day and no others have helped keep it on as much as what this prime fix has but it doesn't help reduce shine which is why why I can't say I'm a great fan.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn’t help much with shine I bought this product because my skin gets oily throughout the day and it was interesting for a face mist to be marketed as helping with a matte finish. The MAC saleswoman told me I had to shake it very well before spraying so the powder ingredients are spayed evenly onto the face. I have used this mist before and after makeup application. When I use this mist, I don’t see much of a matte finish although it helps a bit with making my face less oily. The mist is refreshing on the skin too. I don’t like the spray function of this MAC bottle. The spray doesn’t spread very evenly and it’s not a fine mist. For the price of this product, I’d at least expect the spray function to be better. I had high expectations for this product especially since it’s a MAC product but unfortunately, it falls short of what it purports to do.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from helps prevent shine and makeup lasts all day I have really oily skin especially in the t-zone. This setting spray really helped with my makeup staying in place all day. It helped preventing me looking like a grease ball after an hour or two after my makeup application. This is really good for helping with your makeup lasting all day and shine-free which is a bonus. Its great for special occasions where you want your makeup to last all throughout the day. Ensure that you shake it well before spraying

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Amazing for shine! I like this product, but not as much as the original Prep + Prime Fix +. Throughout the day I find the area around my nose to get quite oily and shiney, and I was really hoping this product would assist in reducing that. However, I don’t really notice that much difference. It is still a great product to spray on your face before/after your make up to prime or refresh your face.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Longer lasting makeup I bought the MAC Prep + Prime Fix + Matte using my beauty heaven rewards points. The first time I tried to get it I missed out as it was so popular but I got hold of it at another event. The MAC Prep + Prime Fix + Matte arrived in a black cardboard box which is covered in a very fine layer of green and purple glitter. The cylinder shaped bottle inside has a black plastic plump spray lid which has a turn lock therefore you can easily carry this in your bag without worrying that it may spray in your bag. The bottle is a clear plastic which some white paint sprayed across the bottom half. The product inside needs to be shaken before use as there are particles which settles in the bottle. Because I have combination skin and there is always a chance of having make up slip around my face I use a primer under my make up, then this spray on primer after I have applied makeup. The spray delivered by this product is fine, even, consistent and was a bit heavier than I had expected so therefore you do not need to spray too many times. This product did help with fixing my make up so that it did not slide around during the day. Though I would not agree that this product providing a matte finish, the mattifying properties probably helped keep my face from showing as much grease as it usually does. I will be buying this one again. Made in USA
