Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great liner but skimpy amount of product I love this eyeliner. It's precise and easy to apply. I've been using it happily for over a year. But there is very little product in the container (so I rate it only 4 stars instead of 5). It's a waste of plastic and shipping that I keep having to reorder, and I'm not doing dramatic eyes, just a thin application along my upper lash lines.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product, lack of durability I love Shiseido products and I've been using them for many years. I was so happy that I finally found an eyeliner that stays long as a liquid eyeliner and doesn't smear. However, this eyeliner runs out fast and breaks easily when it's running low. I hope Shiseido will make their products more durable.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Got red burning swollen eyes from this pencil My eyes reacted pretty badly to this pencil. When I applied the pencil it felt somehow uncomfortable and as the time passed it got worse. The next day my eyes were red, swollen and burning. I didn't use it since then and today I tried again and exactly the same reaction. Never happened before with any other pencil or eyeliner, even when I was wearing contacts, which is not the case now. Otherwise I am using Shiseido Benefiance creams regularly for over 20 years and I'm satisfied with them.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Gold Standard Liner [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Kajal InkArtist liner is second to none. I always come back to this liner, and have it in several colors. The quality, creaminess, color saturation, and ease of application are exceptional.You can apply directly or with a brush - straight line, smudge, feather out - you name it. You have plenty of time to work with it before it sets too. It does not bother my sensitive eyes at all. Plum Blossom is a gorgeous purple that both lines and smokes out beautifully. Birodo Green is vibrant and rich. Nippon Noir is the perfect, velvety black. Tea House is a gorgeous, rich brown; I'm nearly out of it and hope to see it available again soon.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I wanted to love it... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love this but can't. I love the thin precise lining of this liner but it smears really bad even after 5 minutes of wearing this. I used this with the best eyeshadow primer that makes everything stick but nope, this didn't hold it into place. I continued to wear it for the day even after I cleaned up my eye lid but it smeared which gave me a sort of raccoon look on my bottom lids. The only way to keep this in place is when I put my HG liquid liner on top. So essentially, the Shiseido liner draws on the line but I have to fill it in with my other liquid liner. Pretty disappointing so I'll be returning.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Smudge big time [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After reading many rave reviews I ordered this. A huge disappointment. This gave me the raccoon eyes or PANDA BEAR eyes in Japanese. It started good, easy application. Great texture, not too hard not too soft. I looked at myself in a mirror about an hour after putting my makeup on there were smudges under my eyes. As a woman in her mid fifty, it is best not to touch under the eyes too much to minimize creating more wrinkles. The following day I applied this eyeliner again and smudges appeared again. I looked horrible. Sadly this product was a waste of money for me. Too many reviews are from the "influencers".

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very nice, but important color choice missing Yes, BROWN is offered, but the problem is what SHADE of brown? I want a soft brown but for the life of me cannot find it in any cosmetic line. When you consider all the fair-haired and fair-eyed women in the world, it's hard to comprehend that no one offers it. Someone actually said to me, "Oh my, you lined your eyes so perfectly!" What???? It's supposed to enhance the eye, not stand out on its own -- and that's even with smudging it as best I could without blending it entirely away. C'mon, can't someone come out with a soft brown eyeliner?????
