I decided to go natural and embrace my gray/white hair, so purple shampoos have become a staple in my shower. I've tried them all and this is a GREAT one! It leaves my hair extra shiny with no brassiness whatsoever! I also have pretty oily hair, so I worry about that with trying new shampoos, but my hair felt clean and not oily at all! It's great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally!!! Natural silver hair still with some brown, eczema prone scalp so I was leery to say the least. I tried a natural bar once, scalp weeping for a week. After just ONE use of Platinum Purple my silvers were brighter, softer, and more metallic with a shine like never before! I’ve always been a Paul Mitchell girl, starting with the great Awapuhi back in the 90’s as a teenager. I can’t wait until my entire head is silver to see how much my hair gleams all over. Fantastic product all around, PLEASE don’t ever discontinue the Platinum Blonde Purple!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A purple shampoo that leaves your hair hydrated and not dry and brittle I am a natural blonde but like to add some lighter blonde highlights to break everything up a bit. As a natural blonde that likes to keep my hair from getting brassy I’ve used purple shampoo for 10 years now. Started using this one 2 years ago and will never go back to the others. Lightens my blonde so nicely and doesn’t leave my hair feeling dry and brittle after using it like the other shampoos would. My hair actually feels soft and hydrated after use. Not something you commonly experience with purple shampoo. Recommend this to everyone I know and now recommending to you! Hop on this train!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Recently I found out my previous purple shampoo I was using to control brassiness ‘shimmer lights’ was damaging my hair. I was devastated because Shimmer lights gave my hair the perfect tone. I decided to switch to Paul Mitchell after consulting my stylist. After a month, my hair began to improve. While I was disappointed I’d did not tone my hair nearly as much as Shimmer lights, I was very happy to see the quality of my hair improving and it does take out some of the brassiness. For now, I will continue to use this, but I am still on the search for a better one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Highly recommend!! I recently used a colour remover to remove 4 years worth of red hair colouring and was left with orange/brassy uneven hair colour. After the first use of this shampoo I noticed a vast improvement. The shampoo toned my hair down and my hair colour looks more blended and natural. Was really impressed that a shampoo could make that much difference!! I have very thick/dry hair so left the shampoo in for a few minutes before washing out. Considering what my hair has been through, it feels in good condition and even after 4 days it doesn’t feel dry.
