I bought this for NOT HAVING A CHOICE since the original DAILY SHAMPOO FOR NORMAL TO OILY HAIR seems to vanish, i DO NOT like this one as well, i used the original for 20-30 years, and this new one does not smell as good, neither feels as good !!! PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL !!!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Hate this. If it ain't broke don't fix it. The old formula of Daily Shampoo with it's minty aroma was the best. It left my scalp feeling refreshed. This new version is rubbish. It's lemon scent smells like the cleaning products I use and it leave some sort of residue in my hair after I rinse it. I have been a customer for over a decade and will now have to look elsewhere. Absolutely hate this product. Heed your customers American Crew or you won't have any. Bring back the old Daily Shampoo!

I can appreciate the trying to do more natural and vegan etc the citrus mint fragrance (though not as good as the original subtle totally manly scent) isn’t THAT bad. However the menthol ruins everything. I don’t understand!? Are men’s eyes meant to burn during a good shampoo??! Scalp supposed to feel like toothpaste?? Ugh change it back

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Almost threw up from the "scent" I have previously used the American crew - Power cleanser style remover shampoo for many years and loved it, but since that one has been discontinued recently(?), I went looking for a new shampoo. I bought this Daily Cleansing shampoo yesterday, expecting a different product but similar DNA and quality to the product I was using for many years, but boy was I wrong. But firstly I have to admit that it does do a good job at removing products from my hair. But lets talk about the scent instead - at first the citrus scent from the bottle was overwelming and it felt like my nose was being agitated from it, but I still had an open mind about it, it wasnt that bad YET. Later when it was time for a shower, sadly the scent took a turn for the worse, when this shampoo was being lathered into my hair and scalp, the scent began reeking like a chemical weapon of mass destruction. I almost threw up in the shower from the smell. In my unprofessional opinion, it was like - when lathered - all the individual ingredients formed into a monster, try to imagine a strong cleaning solution that few people would even use to clean floors inside their house. I am just letting you know about my experience, your experience may be different from mine.

It still cleans the same but this new "energizing citrus mint" is horrendous - it reminds me of those cheap lemon scented bathroom cleaning products. Will be looking for a new go-to shampoo until AC decides to reverse this change.
