Rated 4 out of 5 by from Low porosity 4C hair I think the reviews written here are not for people with low porosity 4C hair, the Afro type hair. However it can work and I’ve been using it right after I shampoo and condition my hair. On my second day I spritz my hair with Rose water with some added Bergamot oil from Young Living then I add this KARITÉ NUTRI INTENSE NOURISHING DAY CREAM; after I add a few drops of Rosemary oil or Camillia oil. I do this everyday and this is what make this cream not economical for our hair. I don’t feel the buildup after using it 3days nor when I wash my hair at the end of every week. Don’t get me wrong here. This cream is great but it takes the entire bottle on one week. My hair just drinks it up. I’ve given this company so much money on this line but I cannot continue with this cream. However the Karite shampoo and mask I will continue using for a long time. I will go back to Salwa Petersen’s line for her cream and anything that is used used for hair after the shampoo and mask. I have no doubt that if this cream was sold in a jar, like the Karite mask, I would continue to buy it. My hair looks and feel healthy. I gave it only 4 stars because Afro type hair needs a more moisturizing cream. Too much of this cream, in this small bottle, is used to build hydration. I have to help it out with some bergamot oil in rose water.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Smooths my dry wavy hair After receiving a sample in a Karite kit, I was impressed. It calms my dry, color-treated, wavy hair. I take a small mount, rub it in my palms and run my hands through my (very thick) hair. Then I slowly add more to the ends and front hair that frames my face. Those are the driest areas. My hair looks shiny and more alive. The cream is light, not greasy, with a pleasant smell.

The cream makes my hair feel and look so healthy!! I recommend it without reservation. The fragrance is beautiful and subtle. Thank you for making such an amazing product.

(Mine is short, so I cannot comment on definition for longer hair; however, should be great mid to ends. Takes care of frizziness. Makes hair look and feel healthy. A must for winter.
