Rated 5 out of 5 by from I've had gray hairs since I was 12. But I finally decided to grasp the gray & go all out about 2 years ago. I am completely 100% gray at this point. I've tried most of the purple shampoos out there & I have to say that this one is my favorite. I love the smell of it, the way it makes my hair feel, and more importantly I love that it keeps the yellow/brassiness out of my hair. I discovered early on that if I leave it on for 10 or more minutes, I get a wonderful little lavender tint, so I do that periodically just for fun. But honestly this is the best purple shampoo out on the market. I just wish you'd make it in bigger bottles.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I compared this purple shampoo to the Pravana purple shampoo. I ended up liking this one more because it not only toned my hair but it lathers well and smells amazing. Yes it contains sulfates but I'm not using this as a regular shampoo, just something to tone my hair when I need it. My hair is on the oily and thin side so I liked that this not only took out 95% of the brassiness but really cleansed my hair! I left it on my hair for about 5 minutes but probably could've gone longer since I didn't find it drying or harsh. It also didn't stain my hands or tub or leave purple streaks in my hair or anything if anyone is concerned about that. All in all this will be my new go to!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I have dishwater blonde hair, and color it. Not only did the purple shampoo NOT remove the brassy gold tones in my blonde hair but also made my blonde hair DARKER. This stuff is pricey too. If you have brown hair it might work for you. But my blonde hair is DEFINITELY darker after using this and it did NOT help with the orange-brassy tones at all. Side note, I left it on 30 minutes to make sure it had time to take effect. Just left me with a darker shade of orange-ish brassy blonde. Argh!

I have naturally brown hair but have very ashy blonde highlights, I usually leave it on for about 10 mins or so and then rinse it out and any brassy tones are gone within one wash. This all being said, I suggest using it as infrequently as you can; from my experience it does tend to strip my hair strands and make them feel very dry. I assume this is probably due to the fact that it contains sulfates. Just something to be aware of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is one of the best purple shampoos I've tried so far. Ive had platinum blonde hair for a long time and it gets brassy super easy and this tones out the yellow. I use this twice a week, after I have already washed with my regular hydrating shampoo, I don't lather it all the way up just enough to spread around and I let it sit for 3-5 minutes and then condition with my regular conditioner. I've tried so many different purple shampoos and this one is by far my favorite.

Wondering if it possibly contains gluten or something similar. As much as I love it, and my color adores it, I get so itchy. Thank you!!! ?

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Tried this shampoo and conditioner since it was a cheaper option than Amika brand. After the first use my hair was brittle and looked fried. Also my ice blonde hair is now yellow. I wish I had never used this product!
