Rated 1 out of 5 by from Please bring back the real Samsara! I am using Samsara for over 40 years now. People used to complement and ask me about that wonderful scent. But all started to change when the red bottle was replaced with the new one. And since then several new bottles of Samsara were introduced, each one smelling less and less like the original one. As a chemist I would guess that with each version less of sandal wood scent is present. Samsara is for long time not at all the same perfume that it was. I am still buying it though hoping with each version that it will be back. Will it ever? Are you really listening to your long time customers?

Rated 3 out of 5 by from SO SAD! My husband purchased my first bottle of Samsara, 30 plus years ago when he was on deployment with the US Navy. It was the most delightful gift for him to bring back with him, and smelled AMAZING!!! I’m REALLY DISAPPOINTED that I noticed a difference in the fragrance when the bottle was changed. At first, I thought it must have been my imagination- but then I was reading all the reviews on here, and I now know that it really isn’t quite the same! I had wondered WHY I didn’t think it was that great all of a sudden, anymore. PLEASE, PLEASE- BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL FORMULA!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Heartbroken I've been wearing Samsara for over 30 yrs & had grown used to people constantly asking what perfume I was wearing. There was no perfume that rivaled it's uniqueness, it's sublime, beautiful & mysterious smell. It's completely different--no one has asked what perfume I'm wearing since you changed from the red bottle. Why on earth would you change the composition of something so beloved by so many? I'm at an utter loss-have searched relentlessly for a replacement & there is none. Please, please bring back the original formulation.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from I had been wearing Samsara since I was in my 20s. I'm now 66. I use to get complements all the time. I hadn't worn it for almost almost 18yrs. I decided to revisit my favorite perfume. I thought it was a little off. But figured my age had something to do with it. What a surprise to find out today they changed it. Obviously it's a waste to even think they would change it back. Going to see if I can get samples of their other brands. But if I have to pay for a sample, forget it. I'll just go to the store. So sad.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from SAD I've been wearing Samsara for 25 years and it is all I've ever wanted to wear. Nothing else compared to it and it represented me. I felt amazing putting it on everyday. I've actually thrown a bottle away because I assumed it went bad in transit. I tried wearing the most recent one and it made me sick. I've been so confused and now I sadly understand why. It's hard to explain how disappointing this is because it's always been part of my identity. Why did you change such a beautiful fragrance??

Rated 1 out of 5 by from My Heart is Broken! I am a relative newbie to this most delicious of ALL FRAGRANCES IN THE WORLD compared to the other very disappointed customers on this site. However, I saw what was happening once the red bottle gave way to the bee bottle, and bought up every bottle of the real McCoy perfume I could find anywhere on the net. So, I think I'm pretty much set for life. Thank God I'm in my 70s, or I wouldn't feel so smug. Anyway, in my search I even found a bottle of hand lotion, which is lovely to have. Most irritating of all to me is that no one from Guerlain is taking the time to answer all these negative reviews. What gives? Aren't your loyal customers of so many years entitled to an explanation? I, too, want PERFUME, and of the old formula......not the beeswax that is being pushed down our throats since we're such lovers of the old.

I decided to purchase a new bottle of Samsara before my current bottle runs out... it's ten years old (I have tons of perfumes so I don't run out of scents for YEARS... ) So I had the original version to compare this updated scent to.... it is NOT the same. Not even close. I gave it away out of respect to my old bottle... it wasn't worthy to share the shelf space...lol. Please return to the original scent or just call this version something else.

I just received the new bottle of Samsara I ordered, and I'm not sure why this new bottle is so much less intense than the Samsara I'm used to - I've been wearing this fragrance since 1989. It's still a wonderful fragrance, but the intensity seems to have been watered down. When you have a great product, please, just leave it alone - charge more if you have to, but don't change the fragrance or its intensity!
