Rated 4 out of 5 by from Soft and sophisticated men's fragrance [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boyfriend was very excited to try this cologne and he loved it. The smell is very clean and soft, and would be perfect for every day wear. I think the name "Gentleman" is very suiting for this fragrance, as it gives off a very sophisticated yet light scent, although I would not necessarily say it is "intense". To clarify, I was only given the option of reviewing a 2oz or 3.3oz product, however I was only sent a small 0.3oz sample. I was disappointed that this was only a sample size, as I have always received full size products from Givenchy in the past and enjoy their packaging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from NEW FAVORITE SCENT! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was honestly surprised how much I loved this scent. I don't have much experience with colognes, due to my hesitation of trying them. I cannot handle the nose hair burning musky scents. However this cologne smells sweet and floral while still smelling masculine. I wouldn't use this when going to a party but rather when I attending a job interview. I received many compliments from coworkers when using this and will definitely buy the big bottle. Overall I really enjoyed it and definitely recommend this to people who don't like a headache inducing overpowering cologne.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fresh Modern Scent [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really enjoyed trying Gentleman by Givenchy! My immediate experience was this fresh, not overwhelming, modern scent. I can detect hints of floral which is probably the fresh part and I can also detect a small about of woodiness, which is good because I hate when colognes are too woody or musky. Gentlemen smells just right for any occasion and almost energized me on my first try. Can scents do that?!?! Lol. My experience with Gentlemen was great and I think this scent will work well for most men who want a modern, younger smell. My review is based on a trial size so I unfortunately can't comment on the cologne packaging.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sweet notes with a hint of wood and pepper [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a small vial of this product on exchange for my honest opinion. I was expecting a full sized bottle and was surprised to see just a little vial in the box. The scent starts out sweet overall and after a short time gives hints of wood and pepper. Overall it is very good and I put on two sprays from the vial and went out in a hot day. The scent did last for a few hours but after I started sweating a little, it did wear off. I do think it's good for special events and dates, but I wouldn't consider it an everyday use fragrance. The price point is decent as well, so it can appeal overall to a wide audience that is looking for a good scent to use once in awhile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Smell! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received Givenchy Gentleman complimentary to test from Influenster. I love the smell so much! This is a great spicy and woodsy scent. It has a really great base that lasts all day and responds well to your body chemistry. This perfume has more aroma mixed and results to a long lasting smell which is perfect for any time of the day and night. A great scent to wear on the night out with friends or on a date. If you want a cologne that will last a long time and project and get you compliments then this is the one.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from not impressed with the tiny vile [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Tiny small .25oz sample vile provided. Doesn't make me wanna wear it all too much. Was excited for it until I saw that. It's woody, it's fresh, it's warm and spicy, and it's got a touch of floral. It's longevity is decent and the sillage is a bit lacking but overall it's a decent cologne. Nothing really stuck out about it too much for me. It's almost got a kind of icy-hot smell to it. Good for autumn and winter. I wouldn't be running out to the stores to grab this though. The Boisée was better in my opinion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Givenchy Gentleman - Intense [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This fragrance is definitely intense! It has a strong opening that consists mostly of iris, bergamot, and cardamom. However, it opens much sweeter than the regular Givenchy Gentleman, which is great. There are notes of vanilla in the opening which are not present in the original version of the fragrance. The fragrance calms down after a couple minutes into a softer, but still projecting, scent. It's very pleasant and is definitely a scent for the Fall or colder weather. It is still an eau de toilette concentration so 3-4 sprays would probably be necessary if you want it to last most of the day. It's a great warm scent that puts a twist on the blue fragrance DNA, would recommend!

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smells Good. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this as a test from Influenster. I somewhat enjoyed the smell but it is something you need to try yourself to be sure. I got a sense of a baby powder smell, which isn't really a bad thing, but it's an acquired smell. I think if I were out purchasing a fragrance, I probably wouldn't end up with this one. The bottle itself looks nice in the pictures, but I was only sent a mini spray with just enough for a couple sprays, so I cannot comment on how the bottle would actually feel in my hands.
