Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice scent, but too subtle. This candle undoubtedly has a lovely scent, but it is just far too subtle for my liking! When I initially burnt the candle, I couldn't even smell it less than a few metres from where it was placed! It is only after a few burns and for prolonged periods of time (not recommended for candle care) that I have been able to smell it at all. However when the scent is present, it is in fact lovely and fruity - perfect for a bedroom. But for the price one pays for a Jo Malone candle I'd expect a much stronger scent. I'm afraid I won't be buying this particular one again!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Clean burning, fragrant and luxurious ! I finally took the plunge and bought a JM candle. I must be mad I thought to myself, to pay so much for a candle which I'm just going to burn. But these aren't just any candles. The attention to detail when you open that box is second to none. From the wrapping and the bow to the box of long matches, this is just the beginning. Clean burning with good quality wax and an enchanting fruity fragrance that lingers with a hint of herby bay. Truthfully, am not sure whether I would purchase another candle for myself, as they are a tremendous luxury. However as a gift for somebody special they are truly beautiful. Am glad I have tried one though, I will now have to buy the cologne for myself, a very addictive fragrance, I love it !!

However I feel since jo malone has sold her company I feel the quality of the scented candles have deteriorated. They once use to fill the whole room with their wonderful scent (and I've purchased every jo malone candle at one point in time ) but now you can barely smell them at all. What a shame, I won't be purchasing again,

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't buy! Very disappointed I received this candle as a Mother's Day Gift from my husband. He told me he wanted to introduce me to something new. I was very excited when it was delivered. The packaging was absolutely beautiful! Very classy. I love candles, and was very excited to light it. However, I was disappointed, because there was no fragrance after 20 minutes of burning. So, I let it burn up to an hour and still no fragrance. The candle was more fragrant when it wasn't lit. I was very disappointed. In addition to the candle he purchased the Red Roses parfume. It had a delightful smell, It smelled just as the name implied. However, by the end of the day that delightful smell turned a little funny. I wouldn't describe it as a stinky smell, but it didn't smell as good as when I first applied it. I'm well aware of parfumes and body chemistry, that wasn't it. I think it was just think it wasn't a quality parfume. Again, very disappointed.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Smokes like a chimney! My grand daughter saved her pocket money to buy me the candle for Christmas and I was thrilled. Unfortunately, every time I light it I get a plume of black smoke despite carefully trimming the wick. It is the first Jo Malone candle I have had and, although I will continue to use this, it doesn't tempt me to purchase again, especially as the candles I usually use don't give off smoke at all while burning and just a white smoke when they are snuffed.

I got this candle as a Valentine's day gift from my daughter who saved her hard earned money to splurge on this candle for me and what a disappointment! No scent after hours of burning in a tiny room! Such a shame!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not your usual Jo Malone quality Myself and my husband have been buying Jo Malone candles for many years, and I wish to add we have had many many hours of joy out of the beautiful fragrances. Unfortunately the Blackberry and Bay has not lived up to its expected standard. We were told that the fragrance was very soft but we couldn't smell it at all. We have now changed it for another candle - Red Roses which we know fill the whole house with the scent of freshly cut flowers. We will never stop buying these candles as they really are amazing but we will not buy Blackberry and Bay again - sorry.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very faint aroma I love Jo Malone products, especially the candles and am hoping to try all of them in time to find my favourites. I had got this as a sample cologne and it smelt wonderful but unfortunately the candle is just faintly scented. What there is is lovely but I will not buy this one again, I prefer, the Peony Blush or red roses ones which smell AMAZING.
