Rated 5 out of 5 by from I was pleasantly surprised. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think it would be bad, by any means. Historically, I haven’t gotten along with Grown Alchemist products. No major issues, the products that I have tried just weren’t for me. This toner is very calming on the skin. This campaign happened to come along when my skin was 10/10 mad. This was helpful and is a pleasant experience to use, as well. I can’t say that of all toners, even ones that I do like. I did want to try it and I really like this one, but I’m still not sure I would pay full price. I would purchase again if a sale were to come along.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Aloe me to explain [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Aloe me to explain why you should start taking advantage of this toner’s existence! (Aloe extract is an included ingredient…I promise that dad joke wasn’t just pulled from the arsenal out of thin air!) My skin tends to go haywire whenever I introduce new products. This is why I did not switch up my routine at all except for this beauty…and she delivered! I’ve been lightly dabbing this on my face every morning to remove residue from the night before, and it hasn’t bothered me thus far. The company conveniently included a flip top cap to have better control of the outcome, and I will certainly be using every last drop!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I found Grown Alchemist [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found Grown Alchemist when I stayed at a really nice hotel in Des Moines that featured their lotion, shampoo, and conditioner, so I was really intrigued to try more of their products. The toner bottle is a nice size, it was a little difficult to find the instructions on the back of the bottle at first but all they required was to pour a couple drops on your palm and rub into skin. The smell wasn’t as distinctive and nice as what I noticed for the day cream. Mixed with the day cream, my face feels really nice, skin has a nice shine without being too greasy. I would consider purchasing again, but the price point is a little on the higher side.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Often I’m so overwhelmed [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Often I’m so overwhelmed with the crazy number of products I’m engulfed by, that toner is a step I very randomly overlook or forget….. in hindsight it’s like - why would you not mop after you sweep?! My face has become a bit of a stranger to toner, and products in general - never knowing what to expect….so I wasn’t expecting much. However, after only one use - my face felt so much CLEANER! By day 3, any redness was gone, and maybe it’s in my head - but I feel my skin just looks so much better, and makeup is swiping on much more easily. **Always check the ingredients!! -side note, does feel a bit dry right after, but that’s what moisturizer is for :)

I really like their approach to beauty, being a science nerd myself. This balancing toner contains rose, ginseng, and chamomile so when I opened it, it definitely has a botanical smell. It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin refreshed and cool. I love using toner because it takes off more junk that your cleanser may leave behind. When I first opened the bottle, I saw some buildup on the lid, so I held up the bottle to the light and shook it. That dislodged chunks inside and now they swirl around. I don't think that's supposed to happen. Kind of gross. Overall, good product but a little pricey for chunky toner.

Just like the cleanser, it had an earthy smell (almost like slate/wet clay scent) but when I put this on my skin I noticed a difference. It was not sticky to touch nor made my complexion tacky. I started using it as part of my night routine at first but found it had some mattifying qualities if used before your AM routine. Make sure to shake the bottle because there was some kind of residue on the initial label when I opened it. I don’t know if it was a one off in packaging or typical. I applied this with a cotton pad and one pad heavily soaked goes a long way. Between the cleanser & tone, I’ll prefer to use this one again. Thanks for letting me try something new.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from I received a sample of this and I have enjoyed trying it out. It feels nice and refreshing on the skin. It has calming ingredients like rose, ginseng, and chamomile. It smells like a lovely rose garden. You could use this as part of your normal skincare routine, but I like to use it to soothe redness and rebalance. For example, I’ll apply it after I remove my makeup or shave my peach fuzz. It is on the pricier side, so I probably won’t be repurchasing; luckily the sample has lasted me a long time.

I was concentrating on treating my acne and kept my skin care to a bare minimum. Recently I decided to add serum and then saw this toner and gave it a go. It give a nice refreshing feel to the skin and feels like moisturizer absorbs better on top of or. Also skin looks bright and dewy. The toner has a botanic scent to it and texture like water or says to apply with, and so I think it should last for a while.
