Rated 3 out of 5 by from Alcohol I got this in a deluxe sample. I do a deep cleanse of my skin 1-2x a week, which means I exfoliated, extracted, etc. The minute I put it on omg did it burn the intense alcohol is horrific no wonder it absorbs oil. It felt nice after it dried but the initial sting was not pleasant and for something that costs $105 they need to find a better ingredient that is NOT harsh on the skin

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quick bounce and mattifying effect [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been using this essence since the last few weeks, it has a watery smooth texture. The purple water applies nicely onto the skin and absorbs quickly giving a quick bounce and mattifying effect to the skin instantly and then after few uses I have already noticed minimal breakouts with a noticeable difference in the pore size. Apart from the benefits to my problem skin, it also keeps my skin clear, smooth, my oily areas on the face are in control. It feels refreshingly cool on the skin.

I love the fact that it keeps the oil from breaking through during my day. Less powder touchups. I wear The Foundation and this product works perfectly with it. The steroids I was given as part of a nasty chemo cocktail caused me to break out. Essential Refining Essence soothed my skin and helped control the steroid-induced oiliness. Now I'm done with chemo it works great in the summer to control t-zone oiliness. It is an elegant product.

Would recommend using this product twice per week and follow the instructions given in applying. This product will act as a second layer of cleanser on skin. Really help the skin to look clean and smooth.

It actually did a wonderful job on my skin where my pores are much smaller, no small bumps, and less acne. The only complaint I have is the product has a very very strong fragrance.
