Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does not work. While I do appreciate that it did not sting my eyes, it does not remove anything, even non-waterproof makeup. I use this after I've used makeup remover and cleansed just to try to get rid of it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointed Since Avene discontinued the Intense Eye Makeup Remover, I was redirected to try this new product instead. I’m terribly disappointed to report that it barely removed my eyeliner (might as well have been water). I’m regretful for trying it and wish I could return it. It’s a shame because I love all their other products.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Doesn’t remove waterproof mascara It was disappointing to spend more than I would (well, ever do, because I don’t buy makeup remover) only to find this doesn’t remove my waterproof mascara. Big bummer. It removes all the other makeup around it, but I can do that with soap and water. I wish the product would’ve stated that it has limitations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GENTLE YET EFFECTIVE. GREAT PRODUCT! This product does what it's supposed. If used properly, per directions, this product will easily remove any make-up. It does an excellent job removing my waterproof mascara, effortlessly. It is very gentle and does not require rubbing of the delicate eyelid skin, this does help with wrinkles ladies. :-)

I've been using micellar water for about two years and switched to Avene after having an eczema flare up on my eyes and parts of face this past spring. The gentle remover takes off eyeliner and mascara with ease. It's a keeper!

Note that I only use regular eye makeup, never waterproof, so I can't say how it works for waterproof products. If you have a very sensitive eye area like I do, and wear regular eye shadow and mascara, this works great.

I used to get milias around my eyes with the other makeup remover I was using, not anymore! This gentle eye makeup remover also does not irritate my eczema prone skin on my eye lids. I love it.
