Rated 4 out of 5 by from A really usefull countdown timer I have been looking for a timer like this for a long long time. There are plenty of exercise/kitchen timers on the market but all that I have seen are either silly or have features that make the product difficult to use. Not the Big Button Timer though, with buttons and large clear display at the front it's a pleasure to use. It's not without faults: The end of count alarm is too quiet and barely audible if there are other sounds in the room. I put this down to the one tiny button cell instead of a couple of AA batteries that would have provided the energy for a louder alarm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good size timer [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Salter Big Button Timer does what it says. Has a big button which is ideal for me as my kids love cooking with me so their tiny hands can find the button clearly to press. Numbers are also big and easy for me to see from far as I am short sighted and don't have to keep going to and fro checking the time. The timer sound is loud enough so I could hear it from the other room and attend to my oven/cooker. It has a magnet on the back so ideal to stick on oven, fridge or any other metallic surface. My kids loved this gadget more than me purely cos of the good ideal size that it is. I guess it would be for the elderly who would have trouble with vision or touch.

It has two options for placement including a magnet holder and standing support. The volume is high, we can leave it in the kitchen and hear it from as far as upstairs! The big button and large display is perfect for vision impaired users.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Time to eat [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The big button timer does exactly what you expect it to do a great little gadget but with big buttons , my dad is hard of hearing and hes sight isnt too good so this was so perfect.for him while cooking , it can be placed in the kitchen or has a magnetic strip for the fridge

Have changed batteries twice and still no louder. Bought because Salter always had a brilliant name for quality
