Description

The Gourmet Kitchen Cast Iron Tagine with Ceramic Lid is the perfect pot for slow-cooking stews and vegetable dishes. The cast iron construction heats up efficiently, and the ceramic lid helps to retain moisture, resulting in perfectly cooked meals. It can also be used directly at the table for serving, so you can impress your guests on any occasion!

Key Features

  • Did you know that Cast Iron Tagines are primarily used to slow-cook savoury stews and vegetable dishes to absolute perfection? Turn tough meats and crunchy vegetables into buttery-tenderness fast and from the comfort of your own home - no pressure cooker needed!
  • Our tagine's tapering shape makes an exclusively moist, hot cooking environment for your dishes, trapping in flavour and keeping dryness at bay.
  • The base is wide and low, with a snuggly fitting tall lid. As you cook, steam rises into the cone, condenses, and then trickles down the sides and back into the dish, locking in moisture and taste without needing to add additional flavouring.
  • Save on water when cooking, as the cooking process produces condensation that then goes back into your dish, minimising the need for water, stocks and other liquids that often alter the taste of dishes.
  • Be the host with the most at your next dinner party. These tagines can be used directly at the table for serving, and provide a real talking point amongst your guests.
  • Product size (Diameter 25cm x 19cm H, 1500ml capacity).
  • Red and black colour.

Care Instructions

  1. Before first use remove all labels.
  2. Wash the pan in hot soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly.
  3. Hot water and baking soda (or salt) are usually sufficient for cleaning your tagine.
  4. If necessary, you can use a very mild soap but rinse extra well, pat dry and rub the inner surfaces with olive oil before storing.
