Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good scales with large numbers We bought these scales for my husband who has failing eyesight as we thought that the numbers were large enough for him to see. They work well but the picture on the internet looks like the black numbers are on a white background, however the black numbers are on a grey background which makes them less clear for those whose eyesight isn't as good as it once was. He uses a torch to light up the scales and can see sufficiently well to weigh himself. If the background was white, it would have been clearer for him as there would have been greater definition between the numbers and the background and we would have awarded the scales 5 stars. Other people who have "normal" eyesight might find that they are clear enough for them.

There is no 'on/off' switch - you just stand on them and wait till they give a constant reading. In addition, they are slim (unlike this person being weighed) and can be stored easily. An excellent buy and well worth the money.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The dog is losing weight too Bought as a replacement for our mechanical scales which were accurate but did not give an exact figure. These digital scales give the exact weight to one tenth of a kilo which is great, it means that we can not only weigh ourselves but also check the dogs weight. This might not be important to most people but some will understand. The perfect purchase with a 15 year guarantee, it will have to go into our will.
