Rated 5 out of 5 by from Incredible value: Now as good as the paprwhite was Before this was sent out I was able to update it to the flagship model... the Paperwhite Signature Edition. It's amazing having the larger screen. Text is so crisp! It's great having the extra range on the light. (compared to the paperwhite from 11 years ago. It can actually be turned all the way off) the battery range on it is fantastic and the whole system is so much more zippy than the older model. It even finds side-loaded books instantly. Though I didn't end up buying it, the standard model on this listing is AMAZING value for money: it's identical with the fancier model (Paperwhite) from a few years ago: The E-ink screen is at 300dpi (print resolution) and has the front light which only the paperwhite used to have. Also the screen is no longer grey but crisp white.

can e readers be compatible with library e books

Thanks for your question Hays. This depends on the functionality and capability of the library website. You can't download apps, however. Amazon state you can navigate to the website of your local public library and search for "Kindle books" or "eBooks." At checkout, sign in to your Amazon account and select the device to which you want to send the book. It should appear in your book list on your kindle if done correctly. Hope this helps! ^CO

Is there a cover with a book light that fits this model Kindle? The light is powered by being connected to the kindle?

Thanks for your question. There is no cover with light currently available through Harvey Norman stores or website. This would need to be obtained via 3rd party if available. Most commonly these are powered by AA or AAA battery, or LED. Hope this answers your question! ^CO

The purpose of the USB-C cable end is obvious. What about the other end - the female end?

Hi Crinan. That other end plugs into the charging port at the bottom of the Kindle. The same as if you are charging a phone or tablet. Same concept. Hope this helps

Hi there. The Kindle comes with a USB-C charging cable. You can use an existing USB-C power adapter or purchase a new USB-C power adapter to use with the charging cable. The charging port on the Kindle is situated on the bottom center of the Kindle. Hope this helps
