Reliable and durable
I brought this camera 2 years ago when I first started photography. It's been dropped, rained on, handled roughly by kids, buried in sand, and travelled halfway across the globe and back. It's still working as well as the day I brought it and only has a few scratches.
The base lens that the camera comes with is great for beginners and hobby photography, but I would recommend getting a better quality lense if you can.
For how cheap the camera is (relatively speaking) it can be used to take some beautiful photos, even for the inexperienced.
It a great camera for everyone.

Cheap and Versatile!
So you're looking for a beginner range amera that will allow you to figure out what type of photography you want to create. Look no further than the Canon 3000D!
The Canon 3000D is has a highly versatile 15MP APS-C Sensor, with a built in flash, clear display, and sturdy body. With a multitude of possible lenses, this camera lets begginers take photos of anything and everything, without having to pay an arm and a leg. It's usability is incredible, and it's learnability is unmatched, making it perfect for the total beginner or an experienced photographer! This camera doesn't perform extremely well in low light situations, but a tripod fixes that perfectly. Overall the 3000D is an excellent camera that's work picking up!

Canon. EOS 3000 Film Camera
I was given this camera from my parents who were cleaning the shed at the back and we happened to stumble across this camera. (After replacing the 1980s battery inside with fresh ones, and buying film that cost way too much for my opinion) I was very excited to start snapping away. In my opinion I think this is a good camera. It would have been excellent, only that it is a pretty old film camera, the cost to buy the supplies were hefty and you need someone to scan the film for you (just a bunch of stuff). But overall, I think it’s great.
