Love the modular design & modern features[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was looking for a replacement freezer & fridge to my old samsung side by side and could not find one which was of similar capacity to match my older 12 years old model. Then I started looking at single door types and was glad that I could find a freezer (SFP345RW) and its companion fridge (SRP405RW) when placed side by side together, matched the capacity I wanted. They looked absolutely great together and would certainly enhance the look of a contemporary modern kitchen. Wide sturdy smooth drawers make storing heavy frozen food easy. This model does not come with an ice maker but sometimes, less is more. Well done Samsung!

Don't Buy - Intermittent FaultOur freezer has unexpectedly defrosted four times, three resulting in the loss of a substantial amount of food. We are currently awaiting a response to the forth failure (ie where to drop it off and when we will get our money back). A technician came out after the first three (it took a little while going through Harvey Norman, Samsung and their repairer and it stopped again while we waited). He was at a bit of a loss as to what the caused and replaced the fan motor without being absolutely certain of the cause.
In each case, turning if off at the wall and restarting resolved the problem for a while. As the fault is intermittent, it is almost impossible for a technician to diagnose and fix.
There are several similar complaints in reviews on the Samsung NZ website. I suggest buying a different freezer, which is a pity as otherwise we are quite happy with it.

Not happy from
upright freezer model number sfp345rwHas just de frosted contents of freezer for the second time. Freezer just over a year old. Samsung tech could not find any problems the first time, no replacement or compensation for loss. Still waiting for manager to call from latest incident (17/05/2023).

We would suggest contacting your local Harvey Norman store, as it might be an item they can get in for you directly from supplier or have similar model in stock that may be suitable. Is this model available with the slimline ice maker like the 346 L stainless steel model?
