Excellent sound with easy setup
We bought this recently to replace a full stereo system with a denon receiver and wharfdale speakers as we have moved into a smaller house.
We have been extremely impressed with the sound of this smaller system. A zero floor footprint. Great surround sound through all frequencies and volumes.
Fast and easy setup.
The app is essential to setting this up well with easy speaker balancing.

Impressively, unexpected sound
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I can honestly say, even before tuning it, I was very impressed by the quality and depth of the sound this soundbar produced.
After tuning it I was amazed. The LG S95TR is amazing.
Up until now I have run high end, floor standing speakers but unfortunately space is at a premium at the moment and I had to make the change and I am not disappointed.
Setting it up was easy, the rear speakers and subwoofer basically connect themselves. The
subwoofer is small enough to place out of sight and produces rich, deep bass at a volume you wouldn't expect for it's size.
Connecting to the TV was as simple as plugging it in. It has an HDMI in and out port and the output is ARC HDMI which allows the TV to send sound back to the bar. If you don't have a TV that supports ARC it also has an optical input.
All told I am very impressed with this soundbar and look forward to experiencing many movies, games and shows through

Poor quality sound subwoofer very weak.
Bitterly disappointed with this product, not up to the same level as LG televisions Sound not much better than TV speakers.
Subwoofer has no guts, it works but very faintly. Very tinny sound. I will play around and recalibrate and if it does not
improve I will be sending it back, and looking at alternatives to LG.

Great sounding sound bar that packs a punch
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest opinion.
I purchased the latest LG S95TR sound bar recently and it arrived promptly in a well packaged long and heavy box. The sound bar, wireless sub and two rear speakers are well packaged and protected in the box. There are pull tabs to make removing components very easy.
Setting up the sound bar is very straight forward. Simply connect the power cord to each unit and a HDMI cable to the TV and that’s it. You’ll need the LG Sound Bar app to do the initial set up and configure settings. The app discovers the sound bar quickly and the user interface is very friendly, everyone can understand and use it. The sound bar itself is in a matt black finish, it’s sleek and neat sitting in front of my 65” OLED TV.
Once the sound bar is added to the app it is important to do a Room Calibration through the app, this will optimise the sound bar to the room layout for optimal performance. The sound coming out of the sound bar is simply incredible for such a small system compared to a dedicated surround sound system. The centre up firing speaker really helps with voice clarity and the rear speakers really adds the surround sound experience. There are multiple sound modes to choose from but I find the Cinema mode is the best for almost everything. Despite relatively small size of the system it pumps out a huge volume. I could not go over 20 on the volume as it is that loud. The sound bar performs well across different movie genres. Action scene is the best to showcase the sound bar and surround sound capabilities, it really does feel like having your own cinema at home.
Overall the LG S95TR sound bar is a great sounding product that will enhance your viewing experience. The sound is loud, immersive and packs a punch where needed. It looks sleek and blends in easily. The only shortcoming of this sound bar is that there are only some indicator lights on the front of the bar to show status. It is missing a LED display so making changing settings a little difficult, you’ll have to rely on the app to be precise. There is however voice guide in lieu of the display, but a display would have made this sound bar even better.

An Excellent Audio Experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This LG S95TR sound bar makes for an incredibly immersive setup for movie viewing, the additional rear speakers provide a much deeper directional surround audio experience that is sorely lacking from lower end models. The area over which the surround audio shaping works well is much larger so you don’t need to be siting dead centre to experience full immersion. The cinema mode works great for movies, and any TV content with more than 2 channels. For everything else the AI mode does a great job. This sound bar is best paired with a modern LG TV to get the full HDMI-CEC interoperability though it also worked fine with my much older LCD. No issues controlling volume with the TV remote and the bar turns on and off automatically with the TV.
The build quality is amazing, much better than most others. The whole bar feels solid and even when not fully supported from underneath there is no sag at all. All components connect wirelessly so you only need to provide power – setup was a breeze and I just had to turn on things in the order the guide stated for it all to come together and work. The app is great for quickly adjusting all speaker levels and I haven’t needed to touch it again since the initial setup. It has some real power to it with my volume control sitting around 15% for regular viewing and it doesn’t seem to lose any quality as you start to increase the volume way past comfortable easy listening levels. This did initially lull me into thinking that it would do very well with music playback but I’ll get to that in a bit.
There seem to be fairly regular software updates with two encountered over the short time I’ve had it with incremental improvements to how it sounds. Thankfully the sound bar continues to function at a reduced level during the update so the interruption isn’t as annoying. The front display is comprised of 3 LED’s which give this a decidedly not premium look, a matrix display behind the grill like most other bars would have been much better
The areas in which it is lacking is music playback, while the rumbley base output of the subwoofer is sufficient for movies it has insufficient punch for music. I believe this sound bar edges out the equivalent from others, particularly when paired with my LG OLED (the interoperability is perfect) for movies and TV viewing and any weakness of the subwoofer are easy to overlook given the price tag.
