Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great system, ideal for rural and remote locations. I’ve installed a 2 camera system on a house in rural NSW and found the cameras to be ideal. Having the cameras powered by solar removes the need for costly electrical work to be done, or the need for placing the cameras in less than ideal spots. One camera has been placed on a non powered machinery shed and for the first time the location is now secure from unwanted nighttime visitors. The ability to run the system with out without internet is also a plus. The NVR can easily be hidden away for more secure recording without the need for a TV or display all the time. With the low data requirements of the NVR to the Swann app when connected to to the internet, it also makes it ideal for connection, via a wifi extender, to a 4 or 5G wifi dongle with a low cost data plan. These cameras are now providing security for a rural property and have already proved their usefulness.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Sense of safety is really priceless What a great upgrade to my sense of security. These cameras are nice and small but big enough to see, which I think is great because it makes them a deterrent to shenanigans. I have a big dog who barks but I don’t always know what he’s barking at. With these I just pull up the app and can see if anything is going on. They took a bit to install but I think it was totally worth the effort. The fact that they are solar powered gives me an added sense of security because I never have to worry about them not working. These days it is hard to put a price on feeling safe because safety is so hard to find. With that in mind these are completely worth the price and the effort.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Advanced Solar Security System I recently received the Swann MaxRanger4K Solar Security System from Influenster, and I and I am very impressed. The Max Ranger 4k has so many advanced technology features and it is also incredibly easy to use. What I love the most about it is that the solar powered cameras have facial recognition and can distinguish between real threats and false alarms. Additionally, it can be controlled through the Swann Security app, without requiring a monthly subscription. Overall, I believe that the Max Ranger 4 is an excellent security system and highly recommend it to anyone looking for one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressive! I was lucky enough to win a 2 camera Max Ranger system in a Swann promotion. I already have a Swann wired system which has been in operation for around 3.5 years. My existing system had several blind spots, so I took the opportunity to cover these areas with the new Max Ranger cameras. Not only were the new cameras super easy to install, but the vision is crisp, colour is amazing, and night vision is super impressive. As per instructions provided, I charged the units prior to installation, and the solar panels have taken over from this point with the cameras running without further charge since I installed them two weeks ago. The backup battery in the base unit is also a great feature, enabling the system to continue to operate in the event that power is cut. As I have an existing system, I was pleasantly surprised at how seamlessly the Max Ranger units connect into the Swann Security App, with all cameras visible concurrently, across both systems. The lack of requirement to switch between systems is a great feature in my view. As I’m on a suburban block, range is not really an issue for me, but I can certainly say I have had no issues with the Wi-Fi signal. I did find aligning the camera brackets a little trickier than it was with my wired system due to the mechanism design, but once set, the camera brackets were solid and support the cameras well. Overall though, a super impressive system. I’d definitely recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Swann Solar security system This security system is a very easy set up and it’s a solar security system with the longest range wireless. It comes with two wireless cameras Wi-Fi hub with 64 GB microSD storage. It also comes with a QR scan code for Quickstart up guides and set up videos and tips. It also has great assistance and support. You can also talk to their helpful support staff and it gives you three different phone numbers for the US, UK, and AU.. It’s very nice and the video quality is very good. Overall, I’m very pleased satisfied and I definitely recommend this security system.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love that it has solar built in. The picture quality is good, but I don't see an option for the 4k it claims it has. The app is not as easy to navigate as I would like it to be, so maybe it does and I can't find it, but I found where it says HD. I also would love if the hub was wifi compatible like the cameras, that way the hub could be hooked right to my TV, instead of being limited to being that close to the modem. Otherwise, I do love it has adjustable sensitivity levels. Makes markers to watch when you catch a disturbance. Has a years worth of recorded storage thats easily erased when your ready. Its lights are bright and not only can you hear, or speak, you can also sound an alarm! These are everything our other unit was missing, and will make a great addition to our home security system.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Its has potential but needs work The good * Quality of Camera's is fantastic, just make sure to invest in the correct 4k Monitor. * The range isn't a joke, I am double brick and they have absolutely full signal outside of my house and in my backyard which needs to wrestle with multiple walls, so I am impressed with that. * The features such as the Spotlights, Siren are good touches, I like that the camera's seem to flash red and blue during the day too, not sure if that's a deterrent feature but still good. Now the bad *The Solarpanels are not good, You need direct and I mean DIRECT sunlight, I would be lucky to get half an hour of charge a day from the sun and they are positioned in what I'd consider good spots, above where my house solar panels are. I've noticed they don't feel like solar panels on top, like made of some sort of Polymer? Maybe its not as good quality as actual solar. * Battery life leaves to be desired, I am on a busy road, and I do get a lot of notifications, I fully suspected it would be the case that it would cause the battery to drain a little faster, but I am getting at best a week before I take them down, charge them, Disappointing to say the least, the average response of turn down the sensitivity defeats the purpose of having the camera's I want them to be able to cast at least 10 metres from my property and being on a main street shows this aren't the correct set up for myself. Overall, the features they went hard in such as camera quality and camera features are fantastic, but they've cheaped out on the Solar feature, and on the battery life, two parts that I expected to be far better. Overall, they're good, but they need more R&D in battery life if they aren't going to invest in harder solar energy. I've noticed that I'm not the only one that agrees the Solar is average.

The advanced technology features are very impressive. The video quality great. It offers facial recognition making it easier to determine real threats vs false threats. It even has sensor spotlights for increased safety at night. I love that it has its own app and doesn’t require you to pay a fee to use it. Great product if you’re looking to upgrade your homes safety.
