Get an extended from a diffrent company.
I got this for dead spots but like another user said, it "was" slower than the main router. So I removed it, since it's counter productive.
I recently moved & tried using it again, the product is apparently not supported by Netgear anymore using their mywifiext.net. It's so funny because it specifically said "Model EX6400" or newer (this is EX6110)!
Now I can be creative & use this as a paper weight or a stress reliever by throwing it against a boulder (don't worry, I will pick up all the pieces & recycle them properly).

Doesn't stay connected
No matter which outlet I put it in, I still get a higher MBPS connection from the original router, than the extender.. Seems kind of counter-intuitive. Used both main modem, and router, and both still don't work. And it doesn't even stay connected to the mode/router, even when in the same room. Constant disconnection, and no more than 40mbps, when my router gives 400mbps.

Using 2 extenders
We use 2 extenders to get the wifi signal from the office to the house - an older netgear and an amped. The Amped with screen seemed to be loosing signal and needed resetting frequently, so I decided to replace it with another one from netgear. I was worried at first about accessing the extender and getting it on the right signal, but setup went according to the directions, and has worked flawlessly since. I have accessed both of them when signal was down, but it was not their fault, it was the router.
I realize now that, I should have set the new one up as the first extender, since it is faster, but, that's for another day.
If I ever need to replace the older one, it will be with another netgear.

wont connect to my router WPS, and tryed to link it both ways it says , and i have a netgear router but it wont connect at all! been working on it for a hour and a half, went to the my wifiext.net and their was no help there at all just keeps telling you to go to my wifiext.net. I am Done!! its going back to store tomorrow!!

Very disappointed in this router extender
Unfortunately, I have to give this product a star. I just bought this range extender (3 days ago) to help with my wifi coverage and speed specifically for streaming live lectures for my masters degree. Every time I've tried to use the wifi with the router extender I've have to call support because the extender on my wifi is not connecting. I've reset the router now 3 times. I don't have the time nor desire to keep calling tech support and resetting this router every time I want to use it. I'll be returning it for my money back. I do not recommend this router extender. I'm very disappointed in this product.

No Connection
I bought this because I am outside alot. I get 4 green lights but never a connection. Then I tried to put inside my brother's window in direct line with my router. It has never connected, lucky to get 10 seconds just before it blacks out again. Money wasted.

Great unit
The device really works I have a house in the garage the garage is not attached to the house when I open up the back door the garage is like 500 ft to 1,000 ft away from the house so I plugged in the unit on the kitchen wall open up the door I'll go out to the garage turned on my TV I have a Roku and the signal was poor the fair now it's the signal is fair to good it doesn't no longer buffer the signal is pretty steady this device is well worth the money and well worth it it's good quality this is the first one that I bought really works

Works great so far!
Bought the AC1200 WiFi extender to replace our Netgear EX3700 (AC750) extender purchased in 2019. The EX3700 has worked very well in our basement since 2019, but recently quit working reliably. I finally got frustrated with trying to get it to work properly and bought the Netgear AC1200 to replace it. I had to set this one up using the WPS button; Netgear installation assistant would not work for this one. I had successfully installed both of our other extenders using the online assistant. I also have a Netgear EX2700 WiFi extender in our home. It has worked very well since 2017. The new AC1200 is working very well in our basement. Hopefully it will last longer than the EX3700 (AC750) did.
