Rated 3 out of 5 by from It does what it intends to do but…. Being a long time Dyson customer I was truly excited for wash g1 to release. I purchased without thought as I can’t say I love mopping floors so figured this machine would be a great help. I will start by saying that yes the machine actually cleans the floors really well, when you see the dirty water you know it’s worth it however the machine is heavier than expected, unfortunately you are not allowed to put any time of cleaning solution in the tank with water and the cleaning process of the machine is tedious. As this is the first one on the market for Dyson I am sure they will improve in the models to come. I just wish I didn’t pay full price for this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleans exceptionally well! Bought recently and can honestly say I was embarrassed by the colour of the water after the first clean. There is only two of us in the house, no pets and we don’t wear shoes anywhere in the house. We have Karndean flooring and it makes a great job of it. The only downside for us is how much it foams if using a cleaning fluid. We like to use the proper Karndean solution but even reducing that to 5ml if we go above 1 it just foams and we have to keep stopping and cleaning the rollers out. It is quick and easy to use other than that and how well it cleans is 5 ⭐ It lives up to our expectations just like our other Dyson appliances.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from So many warnings within 2 short uses! My Dyson G1 cleaned really well the first time I used it for 30 minutes! It took a lot of surface dirt away and I was really pleased with my purchase. But then, I used it for another 30 minutes a few days later and all I got was clean out and rinse the debris tray warnings and empty the dirty water tank warnings repeatedly. I emptied both many times over even though both were either fully clean or nearly clean and my G1 kept coming back with the same requests for assistance. I have since read, online, of many other users with the same problems so realise my G1 fails could be unavoidable for all buyers.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great but… [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pros: maneuvers very easily, easy to clean, love the self-clean function, floors aren’t soaked but clean, cleans with water only- no chemicals, easily transitioned from wood to tile floors, love that floors look so clean afterwards Cons: sometimes when I hit start, it doesn’t start; the self-clean function can be tricky to start; I actually cleaned the same room 2x since I wanted to drain the battery and the dirty water tank was significantly less dirty on the second pass, so it definitely cleans, but since the tank was still dirty, it didn’t get it all on the 1st pass. It’s much easier than mopping and the floors look great afterwards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Better than anticipated, outstanding buy. I’ve had the Dyson WashG1 for a couple of weeks. The whole of my downstairs is laid to cement tile in a Victorian tile. This means I have a significant amount of grout lines covering a huge area equivalent of 5 rooms. I have four dogs and ongoing garden works. It’s currently a lot of work. My G1 covers the whole area in just under 2 tanks of water. I do enjoy the debris tray between each refill. I am able to do the whole area in under 30 mins without an huge effort or need to rush. It’s easy to use and leaves the floors next to dry. This is huge for me as I can’t prevent the dogs from wandering over all the cleaned areas and spreading more little footprints. If you need your floors to dry quickly and have more difficult floor surface then this was an outstanding buy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Truly Rubbish Terrible product. Would give it zero starts. It forever demands that I empty the already empty waste container. It functions for about 5mins and then demands you start cleaning the machine. You spend more time pushing buttons to open and close containers then you actually use the machine to clean. the machine cannot use detergents. Hard to imagine how a floor can be cleaned with just water. If you want a nervous breakdown, this is the machine to buy! Truly the worst product in humanity. Will be returning this and it can go empty itself

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product After using the Dyson G1 Wash for a month, I can confidently say that I’m happy with the overall performance. One of my favorite features is the clear dirt tank—it’s satisfying to see exactly what’s being cleaned up, and it serves as a great visual aid to track progress. The device is lightweight and easy to maneuver, making cleaning less of a chore. However, I did notice that the floors could be left a bit dryer after use; they tend to stay slightly damp, which isn’t ideal for quick drying. Another downside is the base—it feels a bit flimsy. Occasionally, while mopping, I end up lifting the base along with the mop, which can be a little frustrating. Overall, it’s an effective cleaner with a few minor drawbacks that could use some improvement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cleans well with cold water. After using a mop and bucket for many years, I decided to purchase the WashG1. It is easier, quicker and more satisfying for cleaning a tiled floor from the hall through to the kitchen followed by a quick clean of a tiled show room. Particular benefits are: (a) uses clean cold water only so the floor does not feel sticky after the clean, unlike a mop; (b) uses a fine spray of water so the floor fries quickly compared to a mop. It appears to be well engineered with a self-clean mechanism after single use. However the full cleaning (i.e. after typically 3 uses) is more complicated than a bucket and mop. It's also expensive but for me well worth it.

Is this safe in a concrete floor

Thanks for your question. This hard floor cleaner is ideal for tiles, vinyl, laminate and sealed wooden floors in your kitchen, dining area, bathrooms and hallways. This is not suitable for concrete. Hope this helps!
