We had a similar kettle from a different brand which we used to love & when it stopped working, couldn't;t justify the price of replacement, so went with a regular kettle, which lasted around 5 years. When it came to replacing it, I really missed the ease of setting our old kettle to lower than 100 degrees & when I found this revile one on sale, I couldn't resist. Still expensive, but after only a couple of weeks, so very worthwhile. And I now justify the price thinking about the electricity savings over the years ahead !!! Such a great purchase & with a really substantial / high quality "feel" about it too..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect kettle DOES exist Excellent kettle, boils very quickly and quietly, and it looks fantastic. The only sound it makes is a single moderately loud beep when it's finished heating the water to your selected temp. It remembers the last temp option you heated to, which is very useful when you require sterile cooled boiled water but you mostly use the coffee (95°c) setting. Everything feels very well constructed so I'm hopeful this will last us many years. One thing to note is that it is quite heavy, which could be an issue for some users.
