Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job We have had our kettle for at least 2 years. It replaced another exact same kettle. The original one still works perfectly, but the little plastic bit on the lid kept popping off after a number of years. Doesn’t effect performance but just looked a bit blah so we replaced it with the same kettle. Still have the other one and take it camping with us. Boils relatively quick. There are so many kettles with extra features that this doesn’t have, but at the end of the day, I just want to boil water for hot drinks etc. this is basic and does the job. It is a little loud which is why I gave it 4 starts and not 5. If they could quieter it a little, it would be perfect.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor quality plastics We got this as a replacement for an earlier model Breville which developed cracked plastic in the lid after a year or so. This one has only lasted a couple of years and the plastic from the water level gauge on both sides has gone brittle and cracked, resulting in pieces of plastic falling into the water.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Kettle I bought this because of its competitive price and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the kettle. Materials are fine and the construction is good. The kettle boils quickly and is easy to handle and poor when hot. Simply put; it’s a great kettle. It does it’s job and does it well.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Plastic measurement panel deteriorated I have had this kettle for a few years now and it's been fabulous. The only issue is the other day the plastic panel on one side just flaked off. This was a surprise and disappointing.

After having the kettle for a little over a year, one of the plastic water gauges is crumbling so water leaks out of the kettle onto the base and the kitchen work surface. There is a chance the whole thing will fail and scald someone. Just had a look at some other reviews and this does seem to be a thing with this kettle. Very poor quality.
