Rated 4 out of 5 by from Charge essential 2 [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Charge Essential 2 is a budget friendly addition to the JBL Charge family .The speaker sounds good and loud for it's size ,its ipx7 rated for waterproofing, it has a powerbank that you can charge another device. It has basically the same specs as the other JBL Charge 5 the only real thing that is missing is no party boost so you can't connect multiple devices to this also there is no wifi.So if you don't need thease features ,i think this is a great by.Good sound and good battery life

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good sound, easy using We love this sound box. We use it to her music or audio books espacially our children. The connection with smartphone is easy and smart. I like the sound. It is enough for a room with a few people in. Even the bass is also good by hearing music. The battery is strong enough for hearing music a few days. I would recommend the box for hearing music in a good quality for a good party (even outside) or using it for a lot hearing sessions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Speaker [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I received my speaker it looked similar to the other JBL speaker I have. I will tell you that it is not. The sound is amazing. You can hear this speaker from more than 5 houses away. We have used this speaker while doing yard work. We also take it on the golf cart when we are driving. The battery lasts for days, and it took about 4 hours to charge. This is a good speaker for the beach as it is waterproof. It can also be used for family picnics because the sound is loud enough for all to hear. We have also used it for small drive way get togethers. It is a little heavy so its not good for walking or hiking. When I go walking I use my JBL ear buds and my phone.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Okay but not great [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just reviewed the charge essential 2. It was an okay sounding speaker; but not great. Smaller JBL units had much better sound than this. The sound falls short in the higher sound range; maybe tweeters can be improved. Now for the good, the longer play time means less plug time and charge time. The really nice option is the water proof option is great for in shower, around pool and car washing. Think this is great for summer coming around the corner.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL ChargeEssential 2 speaker is excellent outdoors and can power your backyard/beach/pool party for hours. Even better, it will simultaneously power almost any device you plug into it, specifically the one that is supplying the music. This comes in handy when when using the speaker in and outdoor environments without easy access to power. This speaker not only sounds great with enough bass to fill a backyard, it is also able to power the phone/tablet/(maybe)computer and keep it charged all day as well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love This I love this speaker so much.The sound is so pure and perfect bass.Your favourite music really gets under your skin with this and fills your spirit.Plenty loud enough for me,the amount of sound is a surprise for its size.Its great in my kitchen.I have a sound activated laser and LED light show from the bi fold doors onto the garden and plants/trees,the JBL Charge is perfect for sitting nicely behind it by the microphone for an immersive experience.Its easy to use,no faffing,easy set up good range.I was advised to buy it due to the USBC durability as had been discussing how many micro usb speakers I was getting through.A really nice present to myself and I hope it stands the test of time.

It was easy to connect my phone to through bluetooth and had strong sound quality. Its battery lasted for hours and the sound was able to carry while we were outside at the park. I also like that I can use it to charge up my devices as well as I often find myself needing to charge up my phone. I have not tested out the waterproof features, but am looking forward to using it as the weather gets warmer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Charge keeps it's charge... [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have not put this wonderful sounding JBL Charge speaker away sin e it arrived. I'll start with the charge on the Charge. Turned it on at 3:30 PM and it's 12:06 AM and it still has the 5 charge indicator lights. Sound: You can actually hear the voices clearly in every song. The base is strong and clear, in other words, no vibration. Excellent JBL. You will be as satisfied, if not, better than me. I will recommend this speaker to my family and of course, my friends.

Do jbl charge essential 2 have Low Frequency Mode? If yes then how to activate?

All our JBL portable speakers have no LFM (Low-Frequency Mode). Any button combination that may change the audio quality of the speaker can damage the unit and void the warranty.

Can I connect two charge 2 essential together?

Our JBL Charge Essential 2 doesn't have a feature to connect with other speakers. We suggest checking out our portable speakers with the JBL Partyboost, which allows you to connect multiple speakers simultaneously that support the same feature. This includes JBL Flip 5 or JBL Flip 6, JBL Charge 5, Xtreme 3, etc.

The main difference between the JBL Charge Essential and the JBL Charge Essential 2 is the Output power (W) 5 on the JBL Charge Essential and Output power (W) 40 on the JBL Charge Essential 2.
