Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fiddly buds! I have been using the WF1000xm5 for over a month and am impressed. I mainly connect them to my iPhone; they work well, providing good sound and a decent battery. So why the 4-star rating? Well, nothing is perfect. The charging case feels low rent! The top flexes and does not provide the rigidity of the AirPods case. Getting the Sony pods out of the case is fiddly, and I drop a bud frequently, which is frustrating. The in-ear fit is ok, as none of the supplied tips provide an excellent experience. Overall, they do their job, and that's fine. I will keep looking for the perfect buds. For now, the Sonys have replaced my Airpods Pro2.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from WF-1000xm5 I purchased these to use in the office and other locations to switch between devices during a busy working day. I have been unable to use them in the office because others on phone, zoom or team calls say they can hear other people clearly and not me and or l am in a wind tunnel.....they also don't easily interface to apple iphone. I had apple pods and they were great except for no dual connections. I should have tested both these and Bose out for a day! A smaller size ear plug option would also be good. I visited the jb hi fi story after purchase for assistance with settings and staff unable to assist.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from WF-1000XM5 Quality sound. Enjoying learning how they work. Background noise and ongoing Barking Dog noise not drowned out by supposed noise cancellation feature. Just feels like mobile speakers in ears to listen to devices. Tried varying ear bud sizes but earbuds keep on falling out of my eardrum onto carpet. Wouldn't feel safe keeping them in ears if I were mobile by walking, running or dancing anywhere. Struggle to keep in ear due to no anchor and overall large size. Maybe if the technology could fit into an earbud half the current design size they would fit real snug in the ear. Disappointed with proclaimed noise cancellation feature. Can't afford to have the volume too loud for ear drum safety.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great...But I just have the wf-1000xm5 and my borther bought me one as my b-day gift, my only gripes about this product is that they have a comnection issue and it is super annoying, sometimes connection lost on one side of the earphone and I just slap by it great ANC with no sound on one side and music on the other, it is so annoying, next is that the Spatial Audio is not available to my phone which is the S23 Ultra, I have one of the two most expensive products but I still cannot get the Spatial Audio with Head tracking? Come on Sony you can do better than that, and this is for samsung as well. But over all the product is great I cant tell any negatives about it except to the two negative that I said.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Pretty good I’ve had these for about 6 weeks now. The general sound and noise cancelling are very good. I found the earphones slightly uncomfortable at first but they gradually became less noticeable in my ears over time. I’m very disappointed in the microphone quality. I work in an office and can’t use these for calls as the audio quality for the person on the other end is poor. I’d also like to edit the touch controls so that a minimum of two touches are required for the features as I often inadvertently pause or change the noise cancelling settings when adjusting the earphones.

I had been searching for earbuds for a while that I could lay in comfortably without bumping the controls and changing settings while still having good sound quality. These earbuds are perfect!! You can turn the touch controls off meaning you can lay down with them without changing anything! The sound quality is 10/10. They have fantastic battery life and charge in no time at all. And the case holds its charge for much longer than other brands (Apple, Beats by Dre). If you’re tossing up between earbuds.. Sony mx5 is at the absolute top of the game.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good/Few quirks Overall good product, with a few quirks that are personal and others that are the product. * 1 being the sizes of foam ear bits to chose from, even the biggest size is not big enough for me and I've unsuccessful to find in the Sony website where to get replacements or bigger sizes. * Every now and then (haven't figured out exactly), one of the earbuds (not always the same one) will suddenly loose signal for a split second and recover. * The tap sensitive locations on the earbuds are not always easy to find when in place.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from bad CS The sound snd the design is amazing, but how can this so called Sony premium product does not have international warranty? I bought it in Australia and currently using them in Hong Kong. I lost the case accidentally and apparently I can only purchase a replacement case in the country I bought these buds in? The customer service even told me to fly back to the origin country to ask for help? And why do I need warranty to even purchase a replacement case, it is not like I am asking for a new one for free?
