Testing was conducted by Bose in October 2023 by removing fully charged production-representative Bose Ultra Open Earbuds from a Bose Ultra Open Earbuds charging case, connecting to a phone with no content playing, and maintaining connection until earbud battery depletion.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Impressed Not sure what I was expecting when the little box turned up on delivery day having unsuccessfully used another brand of ear phones in the past. Opened the box to find these new shape of ear buds, much more user (me) friendly, no trying to fix the buds into your ear drum, it was as easy as slipping them over the side of your ear lobe, easy as that! And the sound quality that comes out is just as you would expect from Bose - amazing! I used the headphones at first around the house to see if they slipped out of my ear (they didnt), used them when I took the dog for a walk again with no issues, as a final test I sued them in the gym to see how they coped with movement and safe to say the headphones passed all the tests. Well done Bose some headphones that actually work for me

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feel Nothing but produce Great Sound Been looking around but unsure if it suite me, finally found an outlet with demo unit, love it the moment I put is on coz I can't use those normal earbud as my ear is unable to hold it but this is different as it grip on my ear so is a perfect piece for me...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Preventhearing loss.Stays on at gym.Bad for calls Had it for several months. Good sound, not much bass. I got open style so I wouldn't have hearing loss in my old age. They are comfortable and do not fall off when I'm working out or running. I'm able to ride a bike or run and still be able to hear outside noise. You will not be able to listen to music if there is a lot of ambient noise such as an airplane or at the gym if there's very loud music already playing overhead. I am not sure if mine is a dud but I have not been able to do any phone calls with the device. I can hear them but People on the other line cannot hear me when I'm on a zoom call or phone call. Hopefully version 2 is better

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best earbuds ever! I don’t usually do reviews, but I have to say that these are the best ear buds I have ever owned. I thought I would try them and likely send them back, so I have been very pleasantly surprised. The sound is amazing. I actually prefer them over the quiet comfort buds for sound and every day usability. They have a very nice, comfortable and secure fit. They sound terrific. I can still hear what is going on around me when needed, but the music takes the priority so you really hear what you want to and what you need to in a perfect balance. They are also very easy to use with controls that are simple. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase, and yes they are worth the money.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So far so good! I’ve used these on 12 outdoor runs now and I’m really enjoying them. Great sound quality while still be able to hear what’s around me. They do feel different and it takes some getting used to but overall very comfortable however I do not like wearing sunglasses at the same time while running as it makes it feel like too much weight on my ears. The battery life seems to last a really long time. I’ve never liked my in ear pods from Apple, always hurt my ears and would fall out. With these, I do not have to readjust them while I’m on my run! I gave it 4 stars and not 5 only because it’s annoying having to buy a separate case for wireless charging.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed! For the longest time I have envied those individuals with Bose over the ear headphones as I know the quality of the music presentation is superb. My dog has a seizure disorder which restricted me from buying those headphones as I was afraid I wouldn't hear him if he had a seizure. I bought some Bose earbuds and got superior sound, but also was afraid I couldn't hear all that was going on. These Bose Ultra Open Earbuds are exactly what I have been needing. I can listen to music or watch a loud movie AND still hear my dog should he move around. And these earbuds deliver the fantastic sound quality I have always associate with Bose!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Almost perfect I really wish I could give these a five star rating. The only reason I don’t is due to call quality. At first, the microphone did not pick up very well, but after a couple of resets that was taken care of. The incoming audio cannot be adjusted loud enough. These are extremely comfortable and are great for listening to music while working or performing other tasks. I can’t wear standard earbuds, they never seem to fit quite right. These fit extremely nice and ambient noise is not blocked. Music playback is great but not wonderful. If the call volume could be increased, these would be perfect. They are a great all-around alternative to in the ear buds.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best open ear buds in all situations! I've been using my Bose open ear buds in different settings and they are perfect! First, the design is clever as I don't like in-ear headphones since my ears are quite small (not comfy and might come out easily), the cuff design gives me confidence that I won't lose them easily, even when I'm running. Of course, they've got the great base Bose sound. But I didn't know what the immersive sound meant, and wow I'm impressed! The first few times I listened to music in immersive sound mode, I had to remove one ear buds to check that I wasn't actually playing it out loud from my phone! Since they're open, I can still hear my kids calling/ talking to me without pausing. However, in the plane, it wasn't as immersive as I expected, the constant background noise is still very present. But when I'm listening to my meditation or music when in bed, this is truly the best sound !
