But I guess part of the reason I didn't get a more plastic looking player was because this one appeared to have a nice wooden finish - and i have seen the material listed as "wooden" on other sites - however the finished look appears to be just a plastic laminate with a wood pattern which makes it look a bit cheap for want of a better word. Maybe this is why theyre not available in store?

The switch and control labels are hard to read, they should have light coloured (white) on dark coloured back ground. A pity no connection (other than for headphones) for external speakers. Over all a good product

Rated 5 out of 5 by Andrew John from Great look and price. For those who were considering throwing out the records and cds... don't. This is a four-in-one that is amazing value for the price. The radio is simple and easy to locate AM and FM - no searching !! And the cassette player is an added feature that adds to the attraction. While the turntable arm feels a little light, it nonetheless does the job effectively and appears stable in the process. The unit is compact and sits well as a furniture piece.
